Car description

1971 Jeepster Commando.Shows 22,222 miles (may vary as i drive it weekly) Once first bid is received, t will be parked.DRIVETRAIN: 225 Dauntless V-6. 3-speed manual transmission. The jeep has a new clutch which works flawlessly.Transfer case works as it should in all ranges. Very minor oil leak at oil pan gasket. motor was completely gone through and has around 5700 miles on it right now. carb was replaced with a new one and choke etc works flawlessly. pump it once, it the starter, t high idles then kicks down as it should. has cutlas lock outs which work flawlessly. holds 70 psi oil pressure cold and 35-40 warm.BRAKES: Brakes have been completely rebuilt and work as they should. All brake hardware replaced when brakes were done. Emergency brake pedal assembly is included but is not installed.BODY: Very minimal rust. Frame is in very nice shape as well. Driver's floorboard has been repaired with an original panel out of another commando. Previous owner fiberglassed over where the side marker lights went(not sure why, iring is still there). A repair has been made in passenger rear floorboard near fender well. Rockers have had repairs done at rear close to back tires. Missing horn button. All lights work. Missing 1 bulb in left turn indicator in dash. There is a heavy coating of undercoating on the under side of everything. Jeep has been stored indoors for years. All glass is good. Missing original door pull on driver's door. Radio condition is unknown. Comes with a very nice dashpad. Have extra sun visors(white), othing wrong with the black ones that are installed. Top is in nice shape and has a nice original black headliner. Seats that are currently installed will be removed and original low back buckets will be installed. The front 2 buckets and rear seats all match. The jeep has been painted a hideous flat green color. Original color was a pale yellow. All emblems in nice shape but need cleaned up. Jeep has very rare rear tire carrier with jerry can bracket. Jerry can included(no spout).TIRES:235/75/15 Michelins. Like new tread with very minimal weather checking. Spare is brand new on factory rim and has never been on the ground.OVERALL:Very reliable daily driver. Top will be completely installed when you pick it up. It could be driven anywhere with no problems. Just keep in mind it's not the fastest vehicle on the road. Steers good, tops good, o driving issues at all. Heater works great and has a new heater core and hoses. Done when engine was overhauled.FINEPRINT:Deposit of $500 dollars due within 24 hours of auction end. Remainder due in 7 days by bankcheck, oney order, r cash in person. I do take all major credit cards but there will be a 4% surcharge added to final price. Once paid in full, will send you the title certified mail with a complete bill of sale as well. I will store the jeep indoors for 30 days. After 30 days, t will be stored outdoors. You can get up to an 8 car hauler to my location or i can drive it to the flying J at exit 61 on I-90 to load. My starting price is what i have to get out of it. I have much more than this in it but like with anything, don't expect to get my full investment back out of it. It is a beautiful old jeep and I hate to sell it but i am moving across the country and have several other vehicles being shipped and as most of you know, his gets expensive. it was a hard choice to decide this one would not make the trip. Feel free to call me anytime with any questions, icture/video request or anything you may need. 605-858-3400
