1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer
This vehicle runs, rives and looks great! I have taken it to Connecticut from NJ many times to take and pick up my daughter from college, his Grand Wagoneer never misses a beat. Originally a North Carolina car, he solid body was painted approximately 5 years ago and still shines and looks great. A few scratches here and there and there is one small spot on the passenger rear quarter panel (see photo), ut the overall, he paint on this Grand Wagoneer is very nice. I collect antique cars as a hobby and I'd rate this paint job as a 6, ith a 10 being a show car paint job. The wood grain decals have been clear coated which preserves them and gives the wood grain a much deeper richer appearance. The undercarriage of this Wagoneer is excellent, ith no rust, oles, tc. While this Grand Wagoneer is not a show car, t is a very, ery nice driver quality vehicle.
Most of the restoration has been done for you. I am meticulous with my cars and here's what's been done:
New Jasper Motor - March 2015, omes with a transferable 3 year, nlimited mileage warranty, eplaced during the engine install New Carburetor, new Water Pump, new Battery, new Alternator, oses, elts. New motor has approximately 4,000 miles on it. New Exhaust - Also replaced during the engine install, verything new from the exhaust manifolds all the back to the tail pipe, ncluding new catalytic converters New AC System including York Style Pump, lutch and Evaporator Upgraded to a HEI Electronic Ignition New Body Bushing - if anyone has ever done these, ou know the amount of time and effort that is required to do this job! New Tires Front and Rear Brakes (Fronts received new Calipers) All the Roof Rack Bushings Front and Rear Shocks Steering Damper Tie Rods Rear Door Window Motor Front door window rubbers (purchased, ut not installed, hey will come with the Jeep) Radio - aftermarket AM/ FM, D, SB, / remote Radio Antenna Various plastic chrome trim and body rubber and seals
Both the Transmission and Transaxle were serviced in March when the new motor was installed. Oil was changed again last week.
The glass is good, here are two small stone chips on the front window that I had professionally sealed. The side windows are tinted from its North Carolina days and keeps it cool during the summer months and gives it a really cool overall look as well.
The interior is very good with the exception of the front seats, hich I purchased custom fit seat covers from Seat Covers Unlimited. The dash, arpet, oor panels, eadliner and rear leather seats are in nearly perfect condition. I used heavy duty rubber mat flooring for the rear cargo, hich looks great and is easy to clean if you are hauling bags of dirt, lowers, tc. Comes with a custom car cover as well.
Everything works on this GW including; the four wheel drive system (both high and low), ll lights, ower windows, ear window, ower seats, oor locks (the rear doors sometimes take an extra click or two of the switch to get them down or up), ll gauges, og lights, orn, C, eater, efroster, ear defogger.
I had plans of taking the Grand Wagoneer down to our second home in Florida, ut it is just too nice to be left outside in that Florida heat, o I've decided it may be best to sell it. Please call (908-770-8489) or email me with any questions. I welcome anyone to come look at it in person and will provide any additional photos at your request. I believe that for the money, ou will be hard pressed to find a nicer, ore gone through Grand Wagoneer out there. The Jeep is for sale locally as well!
