This V12 example of an XJC has had a restoration started approx. 4 years ago but not completed. Work up to this point includes new floor pans installed along with other minor rust repairs in the heel boards, transmission tunnel, and A-pillars. She has been painted from the original Dark Blue over Biscuit to Silver over Biscuit, though the respray was of poor quality and will need to be redone. All trim is present with the car, though some may be located in the trunk. It has been converted to later Series 3 power mirrors and the originals are provided with the car. The taillights are also from later cars. All power windows work. The HVAC has been completely rebuilt with new foams and heater core. New sound deadening has been installed against the firewall. Both fuel tanks are new and of the submerged fuel pump type. The engine always starts easily and runs extremely well. She has had a new ignition amp and ballast installed as supplied by SNG Barrat. Oil pressure is good when hot. The car does not overheat. Transmission shifts well. The interior will need redoing and most of the panels are present. Only partial carpets are present. Newer tires. It is believed this car was imported to the US from Canada and has been in Alabama since 2005, which is where the records and receipts begin. Actual mileage is unknown. The owner has several other Jags and is thinning down his collection. As this is more of project as he would like to finish she is up for sale. Buyer must arrange shipping.
