Car description |
---|
The engine was running well before being parked about 4 years ago. I had an intermittent problem with the fuel pump cutting out. I swapped fuel pump, relays, even the ECU, but never traced the problem down. I'm sure it is a bad ground somewhere, as the pump runs fine when connected directly.
The car is a California vehicle and has a non-op.
I hit a rock in the road and bent the passenger side upper control arm, which I replaced, but will need at least a front end alignment. The body is straight, except for damage to the right rear rocker panel, as seen in the photos. Shortly before this I bought a full set of Pirelli SuperTouring 215/70 ZR15 tires rated at over 168mph.
I had another as a parts car which I sold to a gentleman who used the incredible suspension under his Ford pickup! So whether you would like to restore it or use it for an awesome project, it's up to you!
As an interesting side note, I still have the original window sticker, which shows the original sales price of $40,330.00 - quite a lot in 1987!
The car is located in Pope Valley (Northern Napa County, CA). It sits low, so a flatbed is recommended.
