Car description

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive, red on black, Series One E-type 2+2. 1967 was the final year for the Series One model and this car retains all of those early features making this model the most desirable 2+2 variant, especially with it's four-speed manual gearbox. This car was recently purchased from the state of New York where the previous owner had spent plenty on some mechanical refurbishment including a new clutch. The body/monocoque on this car looks very solid and just about rustfree. Paintwork is quite attractive and looks newer, done to a good driver standard overall. Chromework appears decent and very original with really none of the items replated. There is some noticeable wear on the door hinges if checked by lifting, but the doors have been adjusted to line up nicely. The bonnet appears excellent with no traces of accidents anywhere in the nose, a common area. The bonnet could use some easy adjustment to the cowling. The hatch lid fit is excellent. The car's interior appears very original. The front seats have just been retrimmed in black vinyl. The dashboard looks completely original. The car's +2 seating area is the original leather in good shape, but could use an easy dye job. The car could also use a proper wool carpet set, which would be a straightforward and huge improvement. The headliner is the original gray wool and looks quite decent. The visors could use a resticking.Mechanically, this car is in good health and runs/drives nicely down the road. We are currently performing a tune-up and will be posting an operating video of the car soon.Overall, the most desirable year and model of the 2+2, this fairly nice and original car has spent time with it's caring NY owner. It's a very attractive full Series One car for easy improvement, and should definitely be a sensible consideration for anyone looking to enter the early E-type market.
