Car description

Exterior Body & Paint
Appearing to have been garaged from new, and seemingly parked away from the sun's rays when not in use.As a result, the body and paint are essentially flawless, with much if not all of the paint completely original. Even though we haven't been over every square inch of paintwork with a magnifying glass, the only apparent flaw is alongside the fuel filler flap - see our 12th picture.
The color, Jaguar's gorgeous 'Antelope' [like a Metallic Champagne with a touch of Rose] was exclusively used by Jaguar from 1982-on on their top-of-the-range sedans, ie. the Vanden Plas & XJ12 models only. Overall, we challenge anyone to dispute our claim that the finish is comparable [or even better] with cars 7-10 years old. Moreover, we haven't found a single 'ding' anywhere. Similarly, all chrome sections are completely without flaws of any description - no bubbles, scratches or a semblance of rust. While it's not unusual for this style of Jaguar headlamp to look 'cloudy', these headlamps still retain much of their original sparkle. As admirers have exclaimed, " I didn't know they still made those classic Jaguars!"
Underbody & Chassis
Perhaps not appreciating the significance of a true 'Florida' car, you may not be aware of the condition of the underside of this Jaguar XJ12 which is amazing even compared to 'normal use' Florida, Arizona & California vehicles. We've therefore included a picture of the underside, with its original Jaguar factory applied undersealing and the original exhaust without a trace of rust - still maintaining the 'freshness' of cars many, many years younger. Yes, with barely drop of oil to be found anywhere - when were you last able to confirm that for yourself on any V12 engine?
Mechanical
The XJ12 starts immediately EVERY TIME the key is turned. The engine and transmission function as smooth as silk - no fuss, no stutter, no smoke with remarkable quietness even by Jaguar's standards. As is necessary in Florida, the A/C runs strikingly cold. This 6.0 litre variation of Jaguar's original 5.3 litre V12 engine was first introduced with great success for the 1993 XJ12 model year initially for European markets - prior to being introduced for 1994 model year in the USA. This fine engine design is mated to the excellent GM 4L80-E 4-speed transmission. The whole car has a certified mileage of only 86,000 from new.
Wheels & Tires
No need to show you a picture of each tire - our 11th picture of the left front tire perfectly illustrates the condition of all the tires. Although not a same brand set, all look to have at least 80-90% remaining tread wear - tire replacement looks to be many years away! The previously mentioned and hugely desirable optional 16" Lattice Alloy Rims [ a $2000 value] were painstakingly refurbished by Pauls Jaguar, and as you can see by the example in our 12th picture, they literally are the nearest to new without being new. Unless someone has ferreted away a new set from 25 years ago, we challenge anyone to come up with a set which comes close to matching the condition of the set on this XJ12....!
Interior
Overall 99.9% original with a very nice patina in what is generally recognized as the most desirable color scheme - Connolly's Cream Leather with Coffee Piping & matching Coffee carpeting.Seemingly unlike many other Jaguar sedans from this period, the burled walnut sections are without any significant cracks, and apart from the front ashtray cover, are all completely original. The leather seat covers are in extremely good overall condition - no rips, no cuts, no split seams, just a few hairline creases. As you can see, the original rear seats could pass as 6 months old. The original carpet set shows no obvious wear, although like all of Jaguar's 1994-95 Coffee carpeting, this color was known to fade irrespective of whether cars fitted with Coffee carpets ever saw daylight..also the original Coffee front floor carpet sections have been replaced with non-original mats....The door panels are also in excellent condition without any significant signs of wear.
The classic Jaguar Vanden Plas & XJ12 rear Sunshades and 'Picnic' trays operate perfectly, while the burled walnut trays themselves are in equally fine condition.
With no evidence of ever having been smoked in, the whole interior has a pleasant, clean, fresh all-round ambiance as you might expect...Both the headlining and the trunk area carpet sections are completely unmarked.
