1953 Jaguar Mark VII for sale
The Jaguar MK7 is a Classic luxury 4 door sedan sports car. All original and complete. In mechanically functional condition, needing only minor reconditioning. There is only 86,557 miles on the original engine.
My grandfather drove it from New York to California in the late 60's parked it and bought a brand new Mercedes. From time to time he would start it but it has not been driven on the street since 1970's (has California plates) I inherited the Jaguar 8 years ago and have kept it in a storage unit. It's been my dream since I was a small child to restore it and enter it into shows. Unfortunately, I need to sell it. This is a special car and a rare find. There are something's that need to be done to this Jaguar, new paint, wood interior replacement work, minor rust restoration repair and the work stated below and it will be model showroom floor quality.
Due to the Jaguar parked so long you cannot start the car without bypassing the gas tank due to a rusted tank. The tank needs to be dropped and cleaned or replaced. All rubber parts (hoses, breaks Etc.) need to be replaced due to erosion before driving the vehicle. It's also going to need new tires (has original on it) and a new battery. However, if you would like to hear it run and know how to bypass the tank you can do so. I'm not a mechanic and can't perform this task.
The Jaguar is a twin-cam XK motor, quipped with the 3.8 liter engine; automatic transmission and disc brakes.
