1967 Daimler 2.5L V8 - A Rare Right Hand Drive find in the United States! Factory Hemi Motor!
The car is from a dry climate (Nevada) and I have had the car since 2014 (from a dealer). I have always had it in storage, thinking to restore it over time, but have never been able to find time to work on it. The storage is closing and I need to sell it. This car is worth over $70,000 with a restoration that is done very well - leaving the car in excellent condition! I have shown a good example of one that was restored.
The car starts, runs, and brakes. This car does not have rust in the body, except for the rocker panels, which you will need to replace (see photos). Sheet metal/patches, nor body fill has been used on this car. The floor pans are in excellent condition. This car is complete and everything from the factory. The exhaust and tires are in good condition. All of the wood trim pieces are there. All of the gauges (including the speedometer) and instruments work, along the headlights. As you can see in the photos, I have been driving the car with an auxiliary tank, located in the trunk. I have driven it locally only and have found out that you will need to replace the cardan shaft coupling (rubber piece - it is making noise). I have the hubcaps, however, they are not shown in the photos. They are in good condition and from factory. To drive this daily, you will need to reupholster the entire interior. All of the windows (including the vent windows) are in excellent condition - no cracks, no stains - and go up and down well. The chrome and stainless steel moldings and trim are in good condition, almost excellent.Conditions: Sale is considered final, with no returns. Vehicle is sold "as is" and "where is." I reserve the right to end the sale at any time as this is being promoted locally as well. Please ask any and all questions prior to making an offer. Serious bidders only. I may cancel your offer should I see you are new to eBay and/or have very little feedback. International buyers/shipping please contact me first.
Shipping: Car runs, steers, and brakes. Transportation is the responsibility of the buyer. I will make myself available to the shipper for pick up with proper notice and will take pictures of the vehicle on transport to send to you.
Payment Terms:$500 deposit is due within 24 hours of sale date and is non-refundable. PayPal is for deposit only. Full balance is due within 7 days of sale end date. Cashier's Check or Wire Transfers will be accepted. Vehicle will not be released without payment in full. You must contact me by phone within 24 hours of time of sale to arrange payment and discuss shipping or I will cancel the sale.
Jaguar/Daimler HistoryIn 1960, BSA sold Daimler to Jaguar Cars, which continued Daimler's line and added a Daimler variant of its Mark II sports saloon. Jaguar was then merged into the British Motor Corporation in 1966 and British Leyland in 1968. Under these companies, Daimler became an upscale trim level for Jaguar cars. It was widely considered to be the luxurious version of the Mark II. It features the same body metal and different fluted chrome trim on the front and rear. It is much rarer than the more typical Mark II.
