*Relisting as local sale fell through. This 1990 Jaguar XJS is powered by an LS1 V8 from a C5 Corvette. Modifications to the LS1 include ARP head studs, ported and polished 243 cylinder heads, as well as a Crower stage 2 camshaft and upgraded dual valve springs (specifics listed below). The 4L60E automatic transmission is a fresh unit with a new torque converter. Exhaust is handled through a Flowmaster Super 40 muffler, an X-pipe with high-flow catalytic converters, and C5 Corvette manifolds. All parts for the engine and transmission swap were purchased through Jaguar Specialties in Los Gatos, California. The factory 15″ mesh wheels wear new 235/60 BF-Goodrich Radial T/A tires all around. A new steering rack was installed, along with most front end bushings, tie-rods, shocks, and upgraded springs. The LS1 was sourced from a 2001 C5 Corvette with70k miles. Car runs smooth and fast. The LS1 is much lighter and sits 10-12 inches back from the V12 giving this Jaguar proper balance and a much better feel-amazing in corners! Slight cam lope can be felt as it's a somewhat aggressive cam but well worth the power. This XJS retains the factory 2.88 Dana Posi-Lock rear end and gives a great cruising rpm with impressive MPGs. A tachometer signal adjuster has been installed so the factory V12 tach can read accurately from the LS1 V8. All gauges work properly and read accurately. An OBD2 port has been installed so tuning and troubleshooting can be done. The A/C works properly and is an entire 134a setup from an F-body Camaro. The driveshaft was built by Southwest Speed shop with the standard 26 spline GM front and a Spicer 1310x rear which mates to the factory Dana rear Jag axle.Link to several videos of the car:
