JAGUAR MIKE IS BACK!
Offered for sale is this stunning 1969 Jaguar E-Type OTS 4.2. The car is a matching numbersclassic! At least two owners - I sold this car once before; back in 2006 to the current owner. The car was a very nice driver then, and the current owner has brought this car up to a much higher level. The car is showing 52,000 miles or so on the Odometer and I cannot attest to the mileage. The body and paint is near perfect and the mechanicals are excellent. The interior has been completely replaced with correct leathers and trim.
Thesteeringwheel is the correct woodand is in excellent condition. The owner even sourced an original correct and working Blaupunkt AM-FM radio for the car! There are a few knobs that could use refresh, but all of theheavy lifting is done on this fineclassic.
Mechanically she is sound, with excellent oil pressure and heavy duty fan that keeps her running cool. She runs out smartly, and revs smooth. Electrically the car is very good - I had an issue with the brake lights, but with a newfuse and a loose wire repair, all is operational. The horn (these are alwaysproblematic) and the clock are not working. The new correct wire wheels are stunning and the (non-correct) redline tires look superb with this roadster!
Theundercarriage issound and rust free, undercoated and the floors are solid. Only one blemish in the right rear bumper keeps thechrome from being 100%. The boot has new liner and the car comes with a jack and hub remover, correct hood boot cover and full tonneau inexcellentcondition (not pictured). The hood is also new andwithout blemishesand is the correctSunFast Black Cloth with fixed rear window. The hood mechanism operates smoothly and latchesproperly.
We E-Type lovers ( Ihave owned both Series I OTS and FHC - and have sold many of them) cannot forget that Enzo Ferrari called theJaguarE-Type “the most beautiful car ever made.” (My Ferrari-owner friends don’tlike that very much!) The only car onpermanent display at the MOMA (Metropolitanmuseum of Modern Art) in NYC is testament to theunmatched beauty of this classic!
These cars are appreciating at an surprising rate! I know you will appreciate this fine classic!
