Car description |
---|
EXTREMELY RARE AND COVETED, the 2.5 V8 was the first Daimler to be based on the Jaguar platform. A true British classic, this is one of the very few US left-side drives in existence worldwide.
I've never owned a vintage car that receives more stares! It's really beautiful and fun to drive.
My daily drive for years, a 302 High Performance Ford racing engine was installed about 7K miles ago to ensure reliability. New fuel pump and rebuilt frame. Air conditioning was added.
The perfect project car - stable and intact. Exterior could use a touch up or full re-painting. There's one new rust spot but it's superficial. (see pic)
Interior needs restoration; there was moisture damage while I was out of the country. The original leather is in beautiful condition, but it needs a new headliner and wood restoration. I would have also replaced the carpet. I was told it needs a relay switch before I decided to sell it to focus on other projects.
Not much work will guarantee great satisfaction. A small investment for a million dollar, fun ride! As a project car, this is sold as is. Car has been dormant and isn't currently running. If you want more pics, please ask.
I need to get rid of some projects; this beauty deserves a better home.
Let me know if you have any questions.
NOTE: Prior transaction didn't close. I've spoken to as many of those on a 'wait list' interested. The car has bid up, so best offer takes it!
