Very unique S2 Jaguar E TYPE FHC finished in willow green over black leather interior. This 1970 Series 2 has been owned by a well known car enthusiast and collector for over 30 years and will be featured in a new book "Me and My E-Type "Coming march 2019! The owner spared no expense in performance and reliability upgrades as well as many preferred aesthetics including, but certainly not limited to, a 20k S1 Covered Headlamp conversion. This E features a completely rebuilt original 4.2 engine, 4 speed transmission and an upgraded rear end to a European version 3.07 ratio make this one of the very finest driving Jaguars in the United States. Unlike many early Jaguars, this incredible coupe, with a simple pull of the choke, fires right up and runs / drives with incredible power. Enjoy smooth shifting through all gears and unparalleled driving speeds compared to a "standard" S2 as well as safe acceleration to 100mph+ with the aforementioned rear end, absence of cooling issues and modern radial backdated tires. If you are not familiar with vintage Jags please do expect the usual spotting under her if sitting for a while - this is without exception a standard with these cars.
The many highlights of this incredible Jag include a new zinc coated fuel tank to avoid potential adverse effects of Ethanol gas, an Airtex fuel pump makes for solid fuel reliability and first and foremost and the entire electrical system connections have been "double grounded" to circumvent well known Jaguar gremlins. Under the bonnet are more upgrades including a 1 wire alternator, aluminum radiator and an adjustable electric fan. These of course were to address the most common issues with E-Type cars. Other modifications include vented performance front rotors, covered headlights with halogen sealed beams, series 1 exhaust, Lotus Elan taillight, sealed ball joints, earlier polished valve covers, triple SUs restored and performance tuned by Joe Curto hinself, Series 1 seats (original to the car - series 2 seats are comparable seat but only with a headrest now deleted), wire wheels w S1 original knockoffs (a new wooded knockoff wrench/socket included) and these with 6" offsets wrapped by new Michelin radials which have been professionally de-labeled on the outer face and have had the vintage red line band molded to present as vintage tires but with reliability, safety and performance.
While the AC system has been updated in her lifetime the system is antiquated and requires regular maintenance, a complete 5k+ Retro Air model specific system is included new in the box with the car (While complete pre-sale services have been done, our pending facility change has limited our technicians to priority only issues thus we have not installed the new system)

Additionally the new owner will find a a stealth Bose featured audio system allowing use of your tablet or smartphone as an audio source. This easily removable system adds the option of entertainment without altering the aesthetics of this vintage Jag. No speakers or permanent modification(s) are cut into the car whatsoever.
