1962 Jaguar 3.8
Mark II Sedan
CA/AZ barn find
VERY complete and original Jaguar
NO signs of rust or rot anywhere
Recently found barn find of sorts here in the Az
dry climate.
Same owner for the last 40+ yrs
IF You have less then 10 feedbacks, we will email you
to make sure its legit
we email you to check your sincerity on buying the car and
dont get a reply within 24 hours.. You will be cancelled and
blocked too from bidding.
We suggest viewing our auction on normal large monitors
and or tablet to get the most out of our large easy to view pics.
Id prefer NO PAYPAL to be honest. Email me first before
you bid if thats your only option. We bank with BofA
which is easy for most buyers.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: TOTAL SURVIVOR
and by that I mean, its not been modded ever and
other then the 1 repaint back in the 80s, its a nice
original car thats been in AZ most of its life. Would
be cool to do a mild resto on it and just drive it for
fun once in a while.
The motor and trans were fine when parked about 10
yrs ago due to owners age. Gas tank was removed during
storage too. Motor has been in super dry climate.. so NO PROMISES on its actual condition. To get it running as far
as I know, I need a key and fuel source for starters.
I was going to try to get it running first before listing but
thought about offering it like this first. If it doesnt sell
Ill get it running and prob put some tires on it and relist
it with a higher reserve.
Check out the pics and more info below...thanks
DONT BID UNLESS YOU HAVE THE FUNDS IN HAND, apparently some people
who use ebay arent smart enough to understand the rules.
So if you have under 10 feedbacks, Ill be emailing you if you bid to
make sure you are legit, if we do please reply or we will cancel your bid.
Up for Auction: LOW FAIR RESERVE !!!
These cars are getting harder to find esp in this condition
that are still affordable to most buyers.
DRIVETRAIN: very complete and original under the
bonnet. Motor is a matching #s 3.8 matted to an auto trans.
Motor turns over by hand no issues, Im pretty confident it
will run with a key and a gas source to it. And Im going to
try that route this week because Id like to hear it run.
The last owner parked it due to his age, removed the gas
tank, ran it carbs out of gas and let it sit in a garage for 15
yrs. Sometimes sitting in the carport when he needed the
space. But when he parked it, has assured me there was
nothing major wrong with the drivetrain.
INTERIOR: take a look, Az has done a great job drying out
all the rubber weatherstripping european cars were never
designed for Az climate. Factory radio in dash, and lots of chrome
inside actually not too bad. Even the wood inside the car is
not too bad. It was not in the sun for yrs, but yes to heat.
Gauges in the cluster look great. All the glass looks to be in good
shape too and work. See pics.
EXTERIOR:the body pretty straight for its age, the
car had a total color change repaint back in the 80s from
RED to a Maroon color. Ive been all over the car
and see no signs of old cracking bondo or rot repair. Stainless
in good shape, chrome very nice too. Doors all open and close fine,
and glass all looks good and original. Some very mild pitting on
some chrome outside the car.
SUSPENSION:the suspension looks normal and very original
for its age. Its not restored, but probably be okay with a little
resto on the bushings etc. No way to tell exactly what it may
need without getting it on a rack or driving it. Hope for the best
but maybe expect the worst. Chances are its not bad. 3 outta the
4 tires are flat, and for some reason when you turn the steering
wheel the front tires do not turn, and brakes need to be bled.
If there is a winner and they want to pay for new tires and tubes
etc before it gets shipped, we can help with that.
Spare tire and lead hammer MIA.
Check out ALL the pics below ----->
it may take a full minute for them all to load ifyou have a
slow connection, so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.
more infoAFTER the pics etc. There are 100 large pics.
There you have it, probably The BEST represented JAGS
on Ebay.
Shows you all the good as well as any bad, hope you appreciate them.
We put a lot of time and effort in marketing our cars and it shows.
People wait months for a car this solid to come up for sale
and even if you have to pay shipping to your area, it still beats
paying a body shop to hopefully fix a rusty car for weeks on end.
Having as much as the original steel on a restored car these days
speaks volumes.
Also, if you buy a car thats been "restored", who knows what sort
of surprises are hidden under new paint or thick undercoating.
People are flipping cars all the time when most of the jobs are
fast, for a quick buck and quality suffers.
Email us with ANY questions before you bid please
Our Impeccable FEEDBACK speaks for itself. We show you as
much feasibly possible via pics.
Dont let auctions withlittle to no pics try to fool you.
If they cant take the time to take pics of areas under the car they
are selling, maybe its not the best car to buy long distance.
With other auctions, you really dont know what to expect
until you take the car apart. While we go over our cars ALL OVER
with great pics to help making your decision easier.
Along with ANY other questions you may have.
Email me for a quote for shipping.

On Feb-01-18 at 14:03:25 PST, seller added the following information:
I keep getting questions about the motor and head being matching #sand all I talked with the last owner, and hes older, but says hes never
had the engine swapped out for any reason or the head and hes had it
for about 45 yrs. So the odds are good they match. Im trying to researchexactly where Jag put these, once I find them Ill add the pics tothe auction...
checked today: the block is a matching #s motor
The # on the firewall tag matches the block.
Here is a pic
the head looks to have been changed at one time
Not exactly sure how Jag did it back then.
But the most important part is still with the car.Thought about checking the trans too if I can figure
out where the #s are on it.
