Car description

1967 Jaguar 420 sedan 4.2L Ragtop sunroof RHD
Offering my 67 jag, Have owned since about 1990. Mostly parked since that time, and in 80s with previous owner. Was used as daily driver about seven years ago. (3,000miles)
Just got it out in last day, installed battery, points condenser.
Car is now running, engine, brakes, transmission, power steering working. Exhaust in good shape original specs.
Very rare car, about 970 imported to US. Right hand drive, and sunroof also rarities.
Extra large cloth sunroof, gives convertible feel
The cars condition, I consider to be ½ restored, so it needs another half a restoration.
Car in now painted with gray sealer, original color was a light blue teal. Most body work done and seems to be holding, up well, but not ready to just paint.
Issues, previous owner swapped rear end with xke spec unit. Maybe accidentally, nice but geared too low for automatic. IE revs on interstate too high, but nice on secondary roads. Block has a cold welded section. Car has dual gas tanks and fuel pumps only one side working, (second pump needs rebuilding).
Interior blue leather upholstery, Had a few panels replaced in drivers seat years back, but some of the other appears fragile, conditioner may help. Have rear door interior panels, off but included, and other trim parts, Include extra set of new rear springs, but installed ones seem ok.
p.s.(car is wet in one picture and starting to dry around doors) sun was going down
The car was in France before 1980, and has yellow head lights that were common there for the low beams, high beams are white.Previous owner did extensive welding of rust issues, butt welding in new metal, and the car is quite solid.Suspension and steering seem very good. Engine is In line 6 cyl., 2 SU carburetors, limited slip differential 4 wheel disk brakes, rear disk brakes are inboard next to diff. to reduce wheel weight.Much of the drive train and suspension is identical to E-type. Seating has large arm rests that fold down in front and rear.Manuals included; Workshop, Parts
