Car description |

One repaint from new. All numbers match except engine. VIN S810918DN. Last on the road in 1975. It has been in my home garage for 30 years. I purchased from a peanut farmer who had it stored in a metal building. No accidents ever.
Looks like the original paint is gunmetal with a red interior and tan top. Great original chrome.
The original engine number was G2387-8S. Engine now in the car is a period MC block G3613-8S with a 150S head VS1717-9. The car came with a 150S engine in pieces, which was sold 2 years ago. The car body has been raised up 1.5 inches, probably to fit the 3 carbs. Comes with a MK10 intake manifold and 3 HD8 carbs. Two 140 carbs are included. Engine needs a complete rebuild. Very very minor rust. I believe the top is the original mohair one.
Have you ever seen original vinyl covered rope fender welting?
Inspections welcome.
Clean NC title in hand.
I have more pictures if needed.
You will not find a better XK 140 roadster to restore on the planet.
