Restoration and Service History:
This Jaguar underwent a complete Concours level restoration completed by the Jaguar specialists at Muncie Imports in Muncie, IN. There are pictures available of the restoration before, during and after. In addition, there are receipts/invoices of the restoration from 1995 and completed in 1998. The current owner has kept up to date on all maintenance and this is all organized in a binder. Furthermore, there are service and maintenance receipts going as far back as 1981 on the car and also nicely organized in a binder. It is difficult to find an e-type in this exceptional condition with this much documentation since new and restoration documentation. As displayed in the pictures below is the beautiful condition this car has been kept in.
Overall:
This is truly a great E-type. It can be driven anywhere and is mechanically sound. The compression across all 6 cylinders is excellent and a hot compression test was done on June 29, 2017. The results were 170 psi to 175 across all 6 cylinders. The oil pressure is also excellent. Overall, this Jag drives very nice. It handles very tight. There is no fading or pulling upon hard braking. The steering is very precise and easy with no binding. The gears shift smooth and engage nicely. There are no unusual noises coming from the car or engine. It has great throttle response and power. The owner enjoyed driving this car, which is what you are supposed to do when you own an e-type. These cars do not like to sit. Even more impressive, as the awards this car achieved, is that it was driven to all of these events. The Jaguar E-type presented here can, as can be seen by its awards, do very well at JCNA Concours events. However, it is not a trailer queen to be taken from show to show. This car is a phenomenal driver which can be enjoyed as well as being shown. The Series I e-types are among the most desirable and legendary classic sports cars offered. This is certainly one of the nicer examples being offered on the market today.

PLEASE NOTE: This car is exceptional and better than most. I have bought and sold close to 100 of these Jaguar E-types. The E-type presented here has been judged and scrutinized by JCNA judges while consistently achieving a high level score and won several awards. These were not achieved 15 years ago, but rather over the course of the last 7 years. Also, it was restored by a Jaguar specialist and would be very difficult, expensive and time consuming to achieve this kind of restoration today for this price. In addition, this Jag has ownership history since new. Lastly but certainly not least, she can be and has been driven. To me, the most fun part of owning any Jaguar E-type! A truly rare find to have all of the above provenance in a Jaguar E-type which would be very difficult to replicate. Good luck on this great car and any questions or further interest, please contact or text me at 980.216.8550.
