Offered here is a professionally restored, low-mileage 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II Roadster. This is one of the cleanest Jaguar examples we've had the privilege of bringing to market. Enzo Ferrari himself was quoted saying the Jaguar E-Type is “the most beautiful car ever made,” and we happen to agree with him. The car was professionally cosmetically and mechanically rebuilt at 22,000 miles. Today, it shows less than 24,000 original miles.
RM Restorations of Chatham, Ontario, notorious Jaguar experts, performed the restoration work, including a new leather interior and new carpeting. Mechanically, the braking system was rebuilt, all new suspension components installed, and a complete tune-up and rebuilt carbs on the original 4.2L/246hp Inline 6-Cylinder engine by a Jaguar specialist. The car is finished in eye-catching red paint over a tan leather interior. It is rust-free and flawless on every surface (see photos).
According the E-Type registry, this car, no. 1R8385, is one of 7,852 left-hand drive open two seaters ever built. The car fires on command and is a great running/driving example. It sounds great and is a blast to drive. With just three-owners, and fresh restoration, and less than 24,000 original miles, this is a great investment opportunity. Concours examples are valued at over $150k, making this car an awesome value at the price offered here. Thank you for looking.
