1990 Jaguar XJS V12ConvertibleCoupe 48,508 Miles Red On TanOverall: We purchased this vehicle in 2004 from a Jaguar dealership in the Chicago land area. On average the Jaguar was driven <1k miles a year and was always stored inside. It has been well maintained and overall is in good condition. A very fine example of the XJS series. The Jaguar was purchased as you see it listed here and during our ownership we haven't upgraded or enhanced it in any way. It was been a very fun and enjoyable car to own but now selling it to buy something easier to get in and out of. This Jaguar is very low to the ground and difficult for anyone with knee/leg issues to get in and out of.Exterior: This Jaguar has a stunning red exterior with a black convertible top. When I purchased this Jaguar the dealership told me the previous owner added the body kit, ear spoiler, omo wheels, nd Jaguar leaper after they purchased the vehicle new but this work was done at the dealership. I cannot confirm this and wasn't given any paperwork to support this statement but the body work looks professionally done. The red paint is in excellent condition and I suspect the vehicle was repainted when the body kit and spoiler were added. The spare tire is the OEM rim and not the Momo brand like the other four wheels. The convertible top is in excellent condition, unctions properly and should last the next owner several years before requiring replacement. The rear window is glass and not plastic like other XJSs I have seen. Additionally I do have the convertible top cover for when the top is in the down position. As you can see from the photos this is a very sharp XJS and always receives numerous compliments.Interior: The interior of the Jaguar is tan leather with matching carpet. It has a black dash and instrument cluster which pairs well with the black top. The leather seats are in excellent condition considering the age and have very minimal cracking. The black dash has no cracking when cracks are typical for these cars that are exposed to extended periods of sun. Also I do not have floor mats. This Jaguar does have power windows, ower mirrors, ower convertible top, M/FM radio, assette player, eated seats, nd cruise control. Mechanical: The 5.3L V12 starts and runs well. The auto transmission shifts smooth and the brakes function well. It was been serviced regularly and hasn't experienced any major mechanical repairs during our ownership. There are only two known mechanical issues with the vehicle 1) the parking brake doesn't work but setting the parking brake is required for the convertible top to function. A switch was added to override the parking brake sensor so the vehicle thinks the brake is engaged and the top can be put up and down. 2) when applying the brake pedal the bulb out light comes on. All the exterior lights have been checked and function correctly so we are unsure why the bulb out light comes on.Selling Conditions:Please ask any questions before making offers or purchasing vehicle.I reserve the right to end this action early as the vehicle is listed locally.
