V-12 22,500 original miles, ,000 professional respray, new interior 2+2

This 1973 E-Type V-12 has only 22,500 original miles from new, ver 42 years ago. It has has a professional $15,000 dollar respray in the authentic Regency Red It's a gorgeous car now sporting a new complete custom installed, y hand, nterior, nbsp;headliner, arpet and seats, hich took two artisans about 175 hours, ote the tasteful update with the stitched leaping leopard but very true to original design. I do not believe you will find a better V-12 E-Ttype inexistence for the money. This will not go cheap and it simply will not be sold unless the price is strong. I put it upevery few years and I'mperfectly happy to not sell it. I did the same thing with my 1963 Split Window Corvette, enjoyed it until another custodian of history paid the correct value. As best I can tell only 370 were made after this car. This makes this car a very low production car and with its design Icon status will be only going up in value. The V-12s are some of the most sought after Jaguars today. Colloquially dubbed the cat with 12 paws by some moto journalists, decent library of historical articles, ortfolios and books comes with the car, long with service and parts CDs, f you are the winning bidder. In March 2008, 4 years after the last E-Type rolled out of Coventry a Daily Telegraph article voted this car top of the list of the 100 most beautiful cars ever made, ith 4 times as many votes as any other car. It is truly a Design Icon and if you are a serious collector an E Type ought to be in your garage/collection. No less a car guy than Enzo Ferrari said "It's the most beautiful car ever made." Some day the question will be why didn't I buy one when I had the chance. Todaythey question is How can I own one as there are still a dwindling number of samples like this one. Parts are readily available and most towns over 50,000 have a good British expert to help you with the tougher jobs when needed. These cars actually run much better when run regularly.Having bought, old and owned a lot of vintage and collectible cars( and with my share of mistakes and regrets) my humble advice is after you decide what you want, ind thebest example you can find and buy it, ith less consideration of purchase price - if you can afford that decision, f not this kind of car may not be your best fit.I did that with this car. If you buy a Jag low that is a fixer upper, ut you will sometimes be financially disappointed . This one is a driver enthusiast car- ready to enjoy. The $120,000 dollars ones you see for sale may have more in to it than that and they rarely sell for such numbers. Restoration is not always a good investment . For example I have a nice TR6 but I have 40,000 dollars in it, o I will never in my lifetime make a profit, ut it is a nice prize winning fun car that I love a lot and will not sell. Buy the best sample and drive it--Buy a good one and take care of it. This one is looking for a new such home.History has shown that the E-Type was so advanced mechanically and aerodynamically that books have been written about its status as design Icon. Starting in 1971 the 2+2 and the OTS were on the same longer 106 inch wheelbase only. The series III had a track 4 inches wider in thefront and three inches in the rear and it does handle on cloverleafs and curves like it is on rails. The V-12 is silky smooth and pulls like a freight train even on modern standards.The last series III was 20% more expensive than the previous XK 6 version, ut the Coventry publicist often said " a Jaguar is a Ferrari for 1/2 the price" In reality the prancing horse of the time was about three times the E -Type, erhaps the ad men were afraid of the lawyers and the comparisons being made. There is a reason the Museum of Modern Art had a 1963 Cobalt Blue E-Type prominently displayed at the art of the car exhibition. As a backdrop MOMA had a poster as big as the car with the "Body Coordinates" from Malcolm Sayer( the E-Type designer) as this car was in fact one of the first to be mathmatically designed. Peter Egan said it best that it looks like a "fighter plane reborn for the ground' in fact that may not be an accident as engineer designer Malcolm Sayer came to Jaguar from the BristolAeroplane Company after the war.Free delivery on my trailer within 600 miles at the winning bid price.
