Here is a very clean low mileage Isuzu Amigo, in scarce 4x4 I have owned and enjoyed this car for 19 years and sorry to see it go but too old to work on it. When I had it smoged in Sept I had the mechanic replace most all of the emissions hoses etc. and give it a major tune up and it ran superbly. I only use this vehicle for camping and have only put 37751 miles on iy since I bought in it 1999, thay's less than 2000 miles a year. as it had 54600 on it when purchased. I am a very conservative driver and it has NEVER been abused or roughly driven, I only bought it so I could get down those bad roads in the desert if I had to with out getting stuck. Has been driven in 4wd very few hours but is very capable of not getting stuck. It has always been kept under a roof or inside as the paint is bright and shiney and no cracks in the dash etc. the interior is excellent with no rips and minimal wear. The cab was enclose using T6066 aluminum just like semi-truck trailers are made of and is completely water tight. Has a 134A AC system from a 1994 Rodeo, that gets VERY cold as the Rodeo has about 3 times the interior as the Amigo, could not interface the original dash switch because the original 1992 set up was for the old inferior R-12 type AC so it has a simple ON-OFF switch that works very well when you want it COLD. Has excellent powersteering and with the short wheelbase is very manoverable in tight spots, also anti-lock 4 wheel disc brakes, the tires have a LOT of tread and minimal wear. Gas tank, trans, engine are armor skid plated, and have never been scraped or bumped. Transmission, transfer case and both axles are like new all perfect gears and NO leaks. Engine does have an oil leak at the pan and will include a new gasket just never got around to doing it, pretty simple operation. Body is sraight and has very minimal small trail dents and scratches. All the glass is excellent no cracks etc. The engine is the 2.6 litre Itek fuel injected model and here is the PROBLEM after the last camping trip while returning to Hwy 395 I let my foot off the gas and the engine quit it started right up but would not IDLE had to run at about 1500 rpm to keep it going got on the freeway and going 70 plus it was running fine just dies when I let off the gas, can't figure it. Even tried a costly new computer no difference, and the fuel pump is working as it should, something in the injection I think, beyond my skill level, and too old and tired to hassel with it so other than this problem everything else is sweet on this machine. Fix it and double your money part it out and quadruple it, these cars are rare. I don't care I am just going to buy a new truck, don't go camping much anymore anyhow. Have clear California title can demo that the engine runs etc. Has a lot of other extras like the fold out bed-bench and locking side compartments etc. Car must be picked up in person here in La Puente, Calf, about 20 miles west of downtown LA, it will need to be towed as it would be impossible to street drive with the idle problem at this time
