Car description

Up for auction is a 1976 International Harvester Scout Traveler. This is a no reserve auction so any bid can win. I purchased this Scout last September with the intention of restoring it but have been unable to find time to pick it up and would really like to have someone put it to good use.I live in Virginia and the Scout is located in Spicewood, Texas.

1976was the first year of the Traveler and the Line set Ticket is included with the winning bid.The intake manifold, carburetor, and one of the valve covers is sitting behind the back seat, so I'm assuming it was having a valve issue and thus parked. The original 345 is still there as is the transmission and transfer case. The Scoutis fully intact including the factory AM/FM radio. It willneed a total restoration to be put back on the road! It DOES NOT come with a title,It was lost some time ago and the original owner is long gone.A title service should be able to issue a clean title for it once the correct paperwork has been completed. If your looking for an unmolested complete Scout for parts only, then here you go? The frame is in good condition, body hastypical Scout rust, & interior is all there and in pretty good condition. I asked about the floor pans and the previous owner lifted the carpet on the passenger side and used a screw driver to poke around. He said it was solid and the screwdriver didn't go through. He did say the rear brakes are locked up and will need some attention before being shipped.

Some of theoptionsare: Bucket Seats, Console, Tilt Steering, AM/FM Radio, Air Conditioning, Towing Package, & 354 Gear Ratio.

Pick up & shipping are at the expense of the buyer & please ask any and all questions you would like and I will answer them as quickly as I can. The person who I purchased it from has been absolutely greatinstoring the Scout for me &I will provide contact info with the winning bid.

Good luck and happy bidding!
