This is a NO Reserve auction, there is NO buy it now price. You are bidding to OWN the scout, bid only if you are a serious buyer!
This 1963 International Harvester Scout had been sitting for a long time before being made "off-road worthy" again!I was told that this scout was "free" with purchase with an actual corn binder on a farm in east Texas when it was new. After several years, the farmer purchased a new corn binder for his farm, and again received another free scout, so this one got used less and less, eventually being parked for decades, The scout was recently brought back to life with a rebuilt carburetor, new fuel pump, hard line, soft line, new water pump and hoses, new oversize aluminum radiator, electric fan and new starter. The scout also received a new set of points, wires, and spark plugs. A new clutch master and slave cylinder, and throw out Bering were also recently added. Brakes have a new master cylinder, soft brake lines, hard front to back line, new/rebuilt wheel cylinders and brake shoes as needed. A new windshield was also installed. The scout just had 4 new all terrain tires mounted to 15 inch wheels with less than 2 miles put on them. The custom rear bumper has a swing away spare tire carrier with an army style gas can mounted next to it. Front bumper has new off road lights mounted to it.The interior has new seats. floors appear to be original with a couple small patches, and have been coated with bed liner for protection. The engine is the 152 4 cylinder, The only engine available in 1963. It fires right up and runs well! The 3 speed manual trans shifts well, and the twin stick transfer case operates the working 4x4. Truck looks pretty straight, paint is metallic blue, even though it shows green in some pics? The windshield can fold down ant the top can come off, making for a really fun off roader/hunting, or beach buggy! This is nearly 60 years old, so it is not perfect, may need more tinkering/finishing/work, depending on what your goals are with it, Fun to drive! Fresh Texas title in my name. You are bidding to OWN the scout, not the right of first refusal, therefore, the $500 deposit is not refundable and is due at the end of the auction. You are welcome to ask questions, or set up a time to come and see it and I will do my best to accommodate you. Thanks for looking!
