Car description

International Harvester . Rare shortbed stepside. This truck has the original paint, extremely straight and solid, mild surface rust here and there, never in an accident. With original paint, what you see is what you get. Nothing hidden under paint- as is possible with restored vehicles. Has the original paint on the interior bed sides, you can see the bed sides have no dents, just scratches in the original paint. The bed floor, i sanded, prepped and then applied POR 15, then painted with a flat off white and some browns, to match original faded white paint on the bed sides. Only damage to body are bullet holes. Will be adding more pictures. Needed to get auction going today. The truck drives really nice. It has power brakes, 454 big block chevy engine, with headers, mild cam, 4 barrel carb on original big block 4 barrel intake, Hei ignition, optima battery, new battery cables, new cap, rotor, plugs, and wires. Tons of power! motor runs silky smooth. No issues, drive anywhere. Seat recovered, new bed strips painted patina to match faded patina of original truck paint. As seen in the photos it is missing a tail light lens which will be replaced tomorrow. Has 17 inch aluminum wheels with radial all season tires. All glass on the truck is good. window regulators are good, windows roll up and down nice and smooth. The doors open and shut nice and smooth as well.. Door hinges in excellent condition, no door sag. All body gaps on truck are correct, as stated previously this truck has never been in an accident and has the original paint which is rare and very hard to find.Truck is located in Kalispell Montana, and has a clear Montana title.Call Mitch with any questions 406-407-5496. Sorry for the delay adding photos, threw a couple engine photos on, will add more of interior and some underside photos as well. - some more details about the truck. - Under the hood the only things i forgot to mention above, was that it has edelbrock valve covers, finned aluminum oval air cleaner, and new GM alternator. The truck has nearly all of the original sheet metal. the only area i repaired was the driver side and passenger side floor pans. I cut out the rust and used some 56 chevy replacement pans that i modified and shaped to fit the international. I Por 15 sealed the floors and then layed in hush mat over the metal which is just like dynamat it is a sound deadener and form of insulation as well. The truck previously had a manual transmission, so I installed a floor shifter for the automatic transmission. I purchased a new shifter and i cut down a manual shift lever from a 54 chevy pickup and used it on the new shift linkage so it looks like an old shifter with the old shift gnob. The original clutch pedal assembly i have in a box and will go with the truck if someone would ever like to put 4 speed or 5 or six speed behind the big block. The original radio is missing from the dash, it has the factory holes for a factory radio. the dash is uncut, the dash pad is cracked in the center area. there is no headliner from the factory just a metal roof. Has all the factory gauges all working. and the original steering wheel. Like i said i will add more photos. Please be patient, i have been very busy. Thanks for looking!

One other area i replaced metal was the battery tray was rusted. I made a tray out of 16 gauge steel. and a made a hold down for the optima. and the truck has power brakes as mentioned before but no power steering. It has the larger original steering wheel and it is easy to turn even at slow speeds. I originally was going to put power steering on the truck but it steered so easy it was not necessary. I will also be adding pics of the driver side tomorrow.

Try to answer a few questions here and add more details again.- The driver side has a total of ten bullet holes, most are not all the way through the metal. The original paint is faded and patina and has plenty of scratches in it. The truck is extremely straight and solid, with that said, the paint has been on the truck since 1967 so it is showing wear people. it is worn through to the factory primer in some areas and under that to the metal in a few areas where it is scratched. There are a few small dings, the body is incredibley straight but it is not flawless. The front of the rear fenders down low have surface rust only, solid metal underneath. I cannot add anymore photos (24 only) so i am going to set up a photo bucket link or state the adress so pictures of interior and so forth can be viewed. I will try to do this by tomorrow morning. I should have waited to list the truck until next week when i would have been more prepared. The ignition key works on the original door locks. I have one key for the truck. I never even new it worked on the locks until today when someone asked me about it.

Additional Information on the truck: only seat bottom was recovered, seat back has original material in excellent condition. mileage on the truck is a little over 90,000 showing on the odometer, no way to verify it is actual and has not rolled over. Please call or text for the additional photos of interior! Thanks for looking!

OK SO IF YOU MESSAGE ME ON HERE I CAN SEND THE LINK YOU CAN COPY AND PASTE IN YOUR BROWSER FOR ADDITIONAL PHOTOS. also additional info- to clarify, the exterior paint is 100 percent original, the interior floor extending into door jams has been repainted, this was necessary after doing repairs to floor pans, and as previously stated above, the bed floor was repainted prior to installing the bed strips. The interior side of doors, the dash, the rear interior of cab and so forth all have original paint. So technically this truck has about 95 percent original paint. Also I have a roll of carpet that goes with the truck. I never got around to installing it. I just have floor mats over the hush mat.
