Car description

I am listing this completely restored and modified 1972 International Scout II for my friend. He doesn't have an ebay account so I'm listing it for him.
His name is Corey and he bought this Scout in April of 2015 as a vehicle to drive to work on nice days and to eventually pass on to his daughter. Well when the Scout arrived at his house it wasn't what the seller advertised it to be. In fact it was a mess. But Corey has no fear when it comes to restoring older vehicles so he dove right in. What was originally going to just be a repaint turned into a complete and total restoration with some outstanding and tasteful modifications.
This Scout had a LOT of rust. Rather than just slap some bondo on it and do a quick repaint, Corey went nuts. He replaced the floors, rockers, 1/4's, doors, and both front fenders. The entire Scout was rebuilt. He Monsta-lined the entire interior and treated the entire frame to POR-15.
The one thing that was in good shape was the drivetrain. The 304 V8 motor had been rebuilt approximately 25,000 miles ago and runs like a champ. The T-18 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly and easily. Because Corey was thinking that the Scout might see some off roading, he replaced the factory front differential with a Dana 44 with brand new Yukon 3:73 gears. The rear is a factory Dana 44 with 3:73 gears also and a limited slip differential.
In order to make the 47 year old motor a little more reliable and daily driver friendly Corey made some really nice modifications. The first and foremost was to convert the Scout from a carburetor to the Holley Sniper fuel injection. He has the Holley Sniper set up on his 71 Chevelle and it has performed so flawlessly that he decided to install in onto the Scout. At the time he also converted the old points style ignition to a Pertronix electronic ignition system. In order to support the additional modifications the charging system to a 200 amp alternator with upgraded wiring. Along with the heavy duty alternator he converted to a dual Optima battery set up with a remote starter solenoid.
Along with the upgrades to the motor, he decided to upgrade the brake and suspension systems. The Scout was upgraded to 4 wheel discs that are powered by a hydroboost system. Hydroboost uses the power steering system to power the brakes instead of using a vacuum booster.
The entire front and rear suspensions were rebuilt and replaced. New leaf springs, new reverse shackle kit, the Scout received a leaf spring over axle conversion for a 6" lift. Along with brand new Bilstein 5100 series shocks and steering stabilizer.
Every single body piece was replaced. He installed new quarters, doors, floors, rocker panels, and front fenders. Once the floors were welded in, he Monsta-lined the entire interior. Monsta-liner is very similar to Rhino-lining. The body was sanded down, blocked, and prepped for paint. He used a very unique and attention getting color called Copperhead Metallic, which was applied with a base and then clear coat. This paint looks FANTASTIC in the sun. It receives tons and tons of compliments at local car shows and cruises. The Scout looks so great that this year alone it has received several trophies for the quality of it's build. At the Langhorne Classic car show in Langhorne PA it was awarded best 4WD. This Scout is amazing!
The interior is brand new. Corey scored the correct front and rear seats from a Scout and installed them along with a custom headliner. All the gauges are new and custom fit to the dash. The Scout also has a working CB with new antenna. The wheels and tires are brand new having less than 500 miles on them. It also has a full sized spare that matches the set.
Corey's neighbor owns a small business installing automotive and home stereo systems so he had an insane stereo system installed. The details will be below in the list of upgrades Corey provided me. I will also be attaching a link to the entire build that Corey documented on a Scout forum. There are over 10 pages documenting every step of the way along with dozens and dozens of pictures. I have taken over 50 pictures of the Scout but ebay only allows for 24. Please feel free to message me through ebay for additional pics. I am also including a YouTube video of the Scout.
