For sale as is - 1977 International Scout II.
This is an original 1977 Scout II with a 345 V8 engine. It was built in Fort Wayne Indiana. This is a classic redo project.
Scout is not currently running. It was missing the carb until recently - it was taken off in 2008 and was lost when it was moved. I have purchased a new/used carb for it. It has not been installed yet. The last time the vehicle ran was 2006. It will need some basic updates since it hasn't be one the road since then. Transmission seems to shift fine when we put it on the trailer last. The scout engine turns over (needs new battery) - cracks well. It will also need new fluids since it has been sitting.
As far as rust - it has some (see pictures). The back fenders have rust on the outside, but the wheel wells have none. Also, the frame has just surface rust. Unlike other scouts, the floor boards are not rusted out. Has some rust on the rocker panels under the doors Drivers is worse than the Passenger side.
The scout is located in Delta, CO and is pick up only.
This vehicle has spent it's entire life in Western Colorado. My father purchased this vehicle in 1978 with 1000 miles on it from his neighbor. It has been a member of the family ever since. My father gave the vehicle to me before he died in 2013. We had plans to fix it, but with other projects, I do not have the time to commit to fixing it.
