NO RESERVE! You are bidding to OWN the car, not the right of first refusal, there is no "buy it now" price! Please do not bid if you are going to play games and not follow through with the sale, it costs money and time to place an ad here, please be considerate of that fact.
This is an extremely solid, Texas rust free Scout! It had been sitting on concrete since about 1991, when the tags expired! The floors are all very good, original, and solid, I have found no rust anywhere except for normal surface on the frame/ suspension. frame is super solid, there are still grease pencil markings from the factory in the wheel well! There has been a lot of recent work done to this truck, new water pump, battery, fuel line, fuel pump, new gas tank, new starter, ignition switch, and battery, all new brake soft lines, master cylinder, rebuilt wheel cylinders, brake shoes . The truck has either factory, or dealer installed A/C. Not sure who installed them in 1966, It looks like it is all there except for the compressor and hoses. The important, under dash parts are there and have "international scout" badges on it!All 3 rear window seals in the removable top have been replaced, the windshield is new, all the other window glass is in very nice shape! Both front seats are new. The turn signals work, brake lights etc do too, brake pedal is nice and firm. The 152 cubic inch engine runs nice, Surprisingly good power for what it is! Odometer shows around 30k miles. I would guess that it is original, given the length of time it has sat and how good of condition it is in, can not verify though. This is an old car, not a show car, but fun to drive, and presents just fine for a beach cruiser, farm implement,or ranch vehicle. Car is very solid/straight for its age, but not perfect, there are a few little dings/imperfections here and there, but nothing that takes away from its charm! Car may need some fine tuning and or additional work, it is over 50 years old! Do not expect a new Toyota !You are welcome to ask questions or set up a time to come see it and I will do my best to accommodate you. You are bidding to OWN the car, not the right of first refusal, please check with your bank or significant other before bidding, $500 deposit is due at the end of the auction and is not refundable. Thanks for looking!
