1971 International 1110 Pickup 4X4 short bed step side army green patina!Good old international pickup in decent shape with clean Colorado title in my name.Nice running 345 V8 from a 79 scout with the stock 4 speed stick behind it.has carter thermo quad carb, the motor feels very strong. The stock 304 was locked up and I replaced it with the 345.
This is a running project truck and will lot drive and on/off transport. that said...It needs general mechanical restoration.
At one time I believe it was a military or government truck and probably from colorado. The passenger side door has the old lettering which says "department of....? "
• the brakes need work, I bleed them but a few wheel cylinders are sticky.• tires are old (testing size & look with these)• needs exhaust• needs fuel tank, have a chevy tank in the bed as a temp for the moment• shift linkage needs work• has rust in the rockers, cab corners and floors. all the typical spots.• has various small dents, rear fender, one in roof, see photos• missing driveshaft to front diff & have not tried to use the PTO front winch
I had planned to chassis swap this with a 2001 tahoe, (same wheelbase 115" for the ease of a modern drivetrain - LS power) &leave the exterior as is.The patina is very very cool, would be a shame to paint this one.
Either way its a project. & stock parts could be replaced and used as is with the IH gear still in place.I love this truck but I have about 8 million other things going and need to focus my attention.
Happy to answer any questions, send me a message via ebay if you want to talk on the phone about it and we'll get in touch.
