No Reserve!
1976 IH Scout II, 345 V-8, 727 auto trans, PDB, P/S, A/C, Dana 44 axles front and rear.
Original Oregon Scout which I bought and shipped to south Florida, as I wanted to start with a rust free example. Check original photos...
Repainted in original yellow. All emblems, lights and bumpers were removed for paint, then reinstalled afterwards. Hard-top repainted in original white. Bimini top included.
Chrome front bumper is nice, and I had the rear bumper repainted, it looks good now.
Engine runs great, no smoke or leaks, runs cool. Fresh oil change with 20/50 and filter. New wires, plugs, cap and rotor. New carb with auto choke, fires right up cold or hot.
Fully rebuilt 727 automatic trans.
New 31 inch tires mounted on a nice original set (5) of chrome IH Rallye wheels, tough to find. Tires and wheels cost $1600.
New front brake calipers and brake pads.
New window gaskets, bed to top gaskets, tail-gate and lift-gate gaskets, cost almost $1000 for all the gaskets and labor to install.
New wiper arms and wiper blades. Not show in photo, but are on order and will be installed when they arrive.
Interior looks to be original, and still looks nice.
New gas tank sender, but gauge still does not work. May need new gas gauge. Gas tank was removed checked, cleaned and reinstalled.
Dual exhaust which sounds nice and is not too loud.
No radio currently installed. Windows are hard to roll up and down, and probably need the regulators lubed. Doors are hard to close due to the new rubber gaskets. Gas gauge currently inop. Could use a better spare tire, one I had mounted has some dry-rot. A/C is complete but there is no belt on the compressor and I did not install one to check the system. Figure on it needing some work but the system is complete minus the belt..
Previous owner installed factory style roll bar so he could mount the Bimini top, which is included.
Truck has the flip up license plate for when you are driving with the tail-gate down hauling something.
Truck is solid with good frame rails, rockers, floors, etc. My painter spent most of his time block sanding the truck to make it really straight before painting, and it shows.
Plymouth Trailduster project forces sale.
I have included a couple of photos of the truck with the original paint. You can see that it had very little rust.
Fun truck to drive, gets lots of compliments and thumbs up.
Fly in and drive home, or I can assist your shipper.
Clear Oregon title, truck is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
