Good running and driving 1973 Scout ll. It’s had a lot of work done recently but I consider it an ongoing project that runs and drives great and can be finished up as you drive it. It’s has the 345 engine that has been completely torn down and put back together with all new bearings, rings and gaskets. Engine needed no machine work other than heads being refreshed. Engine runs smooth with no knocks or smoke. Doesn’t overheat. Dual exhaust sounds great. Transmission is a 4speed with updated heavy duty clutch, shifts fine. 4x4 works good. Brakes are great. Tires are like new. All lights work as they should, license plate light, inside instrument lights, headlights, brake, turn and tails all work. Top comes off relatively easy and fun to drive without it. Any rust was cut out and steel welded in. It’s a southern CO vehicle so rust wasn’t too bad. Had new floors installed on front driver and passenger area. Body itself had little rust. Used Raptor bed liner inside on all floors, door panels, and on some extiorior parts of vehicle. Painted with an original similar color blue enamel professional paint along with correct primer sealer from local auto paint supplier. People love the color. Paint is newer and looks good and shines but isn’t perfect as this Scout was intended to be driven on and off-road. It’s not show quality or perfectly laser straight but looks good. Scout shows no signs of ever being seriously wrecked or crashed. Compliments everytime I take it out. I planned on lifting it and doing trails. I have other projects. It still needs work. Blower doesn’t work for heater, has a cracked passenger door mirror, small fisheye type crack in windshield on drivers side that isn’t a big deal, both back sliding glass pieces don’t have hardware on them but do open and close fine, none of the door locks or back hatch lock work with key, AC system needs attention, wipers work but are slow, fuel gauge doesn’t work very well, speedometer works but needle is jumpy, interior seats could use an update. Scout would benefit from a nice lift and bigger tires in my opinion and it would look so good. If Scout doesn’t sell I will lift it and keep it. This is a good looking driving Scout that is not perfect but a great on going project or candidate for a complete restore. Value just keeps going up on these vehicles. I have a clean and clear CO title in my name. All offers will be considered. $500 deposit via PayPal required within 24 hours of sale.
