I like that very much but some say it is too stiff. Gears shift great.
This Scout 800 was shipped from California where it lived all it's life to John Glancy the Owner of Super Scout Specialist who I purchased it from. I took the improvements he made and added to them. This Scout's original motor runs good, starts easily and idles great. I rarely use a choke on this one if ever. All the hard work has been done on this with Electric Wiper Conversion and washer pump that works, the lift kit help it drive straight down the road. It is a plus to have the 4 speed transmission on the highway. This Scout has history in the scuffs, dents and worn paint but I could not force myself to pull them or paint it. The rust is only surface and no major holes. This is as solid as you can get without restoring one. No bed liner mess, no filler, just raw American metal is what makes this one special. This Scout will go anywhere and it can't be stopped. Let me know if you have any particular questions. Call 865-556-7911
People alway ask what it needs. I think the next thing I would do is upgrade the steering components. New drag link/tie rod. With the 33" tires and serious offloading, those OEM joints probably won't last forever and will break at some point. The steering box and steering shafts are all original so upgrades could be done there as well. It does fine now and there is some play but not anymore play than I have ever had in all the Scout 800's I have had. It drives straight unlike a Scout 2 that wonders even with upgraded components. The 800's just work better IMO. The next thing I would do is add some better brakes. The drums stop it fine but does have brake fade with the drums. Of course, you could consider Scout II or late model Jeep axles and take care of brakes and better axles but it just depends on how original you want to keep the Scout. A decision needs to be made if
As is, where is, I will assist with shipping but the buyer is responsible, clean and clear title in my name at my house. Only buy it if you plan to pay for it. I have sold many IH Vehicles on Ebay. The is for sale locally so if you want it, hit the buy it now. Cash in person, Cashiers Check/Personal Check with waiting period to verify funds. I will take the full payment via PayPal but add 3% to the purchase price for fees. Contact me before bidding or buy it now. I will not release the vehicle or title until the funds are verified. 100% Positive Feedback. Good luck!
PS. I have an extra front clip I can send with the Scout if you want to replace it at some point down the road. I think it is Burgundy or reddish. I picked it up if I ever painted it for the dent.

I had a question about offers and trades. I will take offers on the vehicle to end it early for someone that really wants it. I will revise the buy it now price once we agree. I don't take trades because I have several other IH projects and this money keeps the others funded for future Ebay listings. Thank you!
