Car description |

1956 International Harvester S100 Pickup. Approx. 87,000 original miles. Black Diamond 220 Inline six with the original see thru type Holley Carburetor. I believe I am the 3rd owner of this truck. I purchased it a couple of years ago from an older gentlemen who had owned it since the early 1970's. The truck is in good condition with very little rust, The truck runs well and shifts well (3 speed on the tree). The truck has new wheels and tires see pictures. The truck's brakes will need attention,. the truck has been started regularly and drive very short distances for maintenance, and the brakes have slowly declined in function. they may just need to be bled or may need more. Like I have said I am no expert. The interior of the truck is in good shape as can be seen in the pictures. Truck is original as far as I can tell (see pictures as I am not an expert). The headliner has been the only thing I have altered as I planned to replace it will a single piece of leather (as the old headliner did not look a good as the rest of the interior).I bought this truck with the intent of making it a daily driver, the truck has the original 3 speed unsynchronizedtransmission and is not really compatible with the city driving. I do not have the skills to change a motor or transmission to make the truck more applicable to city driving, and that is why the truck is for sale. They made the S100 for only a little more than a year so it is a rare vehicle. I have seen 2 restored S100 trucks on the Mecum Auto Auction that sold for $28,000 and $32,000 so anyone with auto skills will have a diamond in the rough with this vehicle. I plan to ad more pictures, but please ask for any specific pics you want and ask any questions.
A 200+ pages Shop manual will come with the truck, as well as many extra parts given to me by the previousowner., including a new head I believe, It is currently waterproofed with shrink wrap and I have never opened it. there is also an additional radiator fan, valve cover, oil bath air cleaner and quite a bit more.
No warranty is expressed or given. Please see Pictures and ask questions and I will do my best to provide what you need. The above is correct to the best of my knowledge, but I am a Firefighter not a mechanic or auto expert.
