1973 International Harvester Company 1210 WAGON MASTER Wagon Master RARE
This is a very rare Wagon Master in solid shape. As the story goes, the factory produced a very limited number (somewhere between 500 to 1500) of these trucks prior to ceasing production. The guys in the plant came up with the design for 5th wheel application. The rear is a Dana 70 and a 60 front, but 2 wheel drive. Notice how far forward the rear Axel is to the cab; hence productions stopped once they realized the 5th wheel's weight was not distributed properly over the rear Axel.
Currently the vehicle starts and drives around my yard, but the previous owner started a restoration. In other words, the first two (2 each) photos are the truck prior to the partial restoration. This vehicle is being sold as is, per the remaining photos. I have stored this truck in my metal building since 2014.
This is a project vehicle. All the parts were meticulously removed, labeled, bagged up, in boxes, etc. per the photos. They did start some floor repairs, but are not of the best quality. The windshield is cracked. Seats are original!
The truck is not perfect, see rust areas in photos, but I speculate could fetch in the low 30k's once restored. I did get a quote from a professional street rod company recently and they told me a total rust, patch, pull, etc. and paint would cost about $8,500.
I am located at zip code 87547. All coordination and payment for shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Also, an immediate down payment is required with the balance due upon picking the vehicle up at my house (or sooner). A buyer who does not make the payment in full in 90 days looses all rights to this sale and the vehicle stays in my ownership to resell.
I will be posting more photos on my personal site andYouTube "74 IHC WAGONMASTER"...all the links are obvious or just email me fo more information.
Rare find, with a reserve on this auction.
