Car description |
---|
I bought this truck off of a retired gentleman in Kansas who is an IH enthusiast like myself. He had it parked in a concrete floor shop for years and had intentions of one day getting it road ready again. The truck was originally delivered to Kansas City (see LST) so it likely spent it's whole life in Kansas. Truck has a 345, 2 barrel, automatic, and is 4wd. I brought the truck home, cleaned it up a tad and had the carb rebuilt by the local elderly expert. I pulled all the plugs and squirted a decent dose of MMO in all cylinders and let it soak about 3 weeks. In that time, I changed the oil and put on a new oil filter. I then hooked it up to a boat gas tank with a new fuel filter and it cranked right up. When I bought it, the carb was in the front seat and there's some linkage missing (to connect throttle cable to carb) so it's not drivable as it sits for that reason. Cab is honestly in decent shape, it's a solid truck. The cab corners are rusted through as is to be expected. I've removed the gas tank, painted the exterior with POR15 but haven't lined the tank yet. I did clean the inside of the tank out well.
The line setting ticket is attached. Truck has 4.10 ratio axles and a Dana 60 rear I believe. The flatbed has a gooseneck hitch installed. This truck can run dual tires, some have them, but this had singles on it when I bought it.
Why am I selling? I have limited garage space and bought a cherry 1979 Scout from California that will be here in a few days and I simply don't have the space. I got a deal that I could not pass up so something has to go. I also have a '73 IH 1310 with 77k miles and I simply don't need two 1 ton trucks.
I'm selling this truck with NO RESERVE. If you have low feedback, kindly contact me prior to bidding so I know you're serious. If you want pictures of anything that's not shown, videos, etc. just say the word and I'll send them to you. I want this to go smoothly for both of us and don't want surprises on either end.
My cell is 256-735-3745. I have horrible cell reception at home so I ask that you text me any questions you may have and I'll respond promptly.
Winning bidder will pay a $500 non-refundabledeposit upon auction end via PayPal. Final payment by cash in person or PayPal. No money orders, no cashiers checks.
Thanks for bidding and GOOD LUCK!!!
