1967 IHC C1300 cab and chassis for sale. This truck will need to towed or trailered, it does not start.
I bought it in this truck 3 years ago in this condition. When I first bought it acts like it wants to start. I put it in storage in the fall that first year and left it there. Now I've lost interest in it and I'm ready to part with this rare truck.
This truck only has 6,200 miles on it. It is equipped with a 266 V8, 4 speed transmission, power brakes, 4x4, 4.88 gears, IHC corporate rear, Dana 70 front, dual rear wheels, and 10,000lb. Ramsey winch. I had the carburetor professionally rebuilt. I have removed the outer dually wheels to save space while stored but they are included, of course.
These are getting had to find and this truck has an interesting history. It was truck no. 6-2-1 for the Chicago Fire Department. It was stationed at Meigs Field. Check out the old photo of this truck in its heydays. It's the truck in the foreground.
Since it was stationed on the island airport, it has very low miles and was never exposed to salt. This is a northern truck but the body only has a tiny amount of rust. It's better than many of the western trucks I've seen, and the interior hasn't been destroyed by sun damage.
The 2 fender rust holes and a some surface rust on floor boards shown in the pictures is all the rust I can find. Everything else remarkably rust free. I've provided photos of the usual rust areas for these trucks.
The wiper motor is out and I don't know if it works, the PTO shaft in laying behind the seat and needs to be reinstalled, and the battery probably is bad from sitting for 3 years.
If you have questions or live close enough and want to see it in person, then give me call or message me. I'm located in Westland Michigan.
