Pretty neat old truck. A 1969 International Harvester 1200 Travelall with a factory Springfield Body Company conversion to a 14 passenger rural school bus. We have only been able to find one other six door version. It's a two wheel drive truck with a 345 gas engine and a four speed on the floor. It runs and drives GREAT. Hits on the first turn of the key. We are actually the new Bluebird school bus dealer for the state of Indiana and normally only have used buses we take on trade when we sell new ones but this one was so neat we picked it up for a shop project. The boss does NOT share our enthusiasm. :)Frankly, we might have too much money in it. But we are selling it with a low starting price and with NO RESERVE! Buying it from Montana and getting it back here was $5000. When it got here, the tires were old and dry rotted and the split rims aren't the safest so we got new one piece steel rims and brand new tires all around. Then we added a good battery, new spark plugs and wires, new points, rotor and cap and she's running great. The odometer shows 5000 miles. We'd guess it's been around the clock once. It's been used as a camper most recently, and judging from the shag carpet in the back, "most recently" could have been the 1970's. Everything seems to work and the old truck makes surprisingly good power. The dash light for the brakes is on but the brakes seem to work great. I've personally driven it on the highway. The only body rust we see is around the rear wheel openings. There is a circular hole cut in one side of the body as you can see where someone installed a propane stove or a giant externally vented bong at some point. The bus seats have long been removed and lost. The only seats now are the two front bucket seats on either side of the four speed on the floor. We do have an original ad from the Springfield Body Company for this bus. And it's the only school bus we've ever had with a gun rack!Ask any other questions you may have. It's super rare. It's old. It's huge. It runs and drives great. All of the glass is good. It's got a clear title. And it can be yours with NO RESERVE regardless of our investment. Sold as is/where is. No delivery available. And because we are a dealership, there is 7% Indiana sales tax we need to collect unless you have a documented tax exemption. The truck will also come with a 45 day temporary license plate at no charge. So bid to win.
