This is probably one of the nicest 1974 D Series International pick ups to become available on eBay in a long time. This truck was special ordered by the owner of Morris Motors in Bend Oregon during the fall of 1973, with the intentions of hauling a camper. He ordered the camper tow package and other personal choices which include the following: 8000lb spring package, 4 wheel drive, Deluxe trim and interior package, power steering, power brakes, automatic transmission, and a 392 V8. The camper package includes: Rear sway bars, 12 x 3 heavy duty rear brakes, front disc brakes, dual exhaust and extendable rear bumper for an 11.5’ camper. This truck has all of its original paperwork including the train transport, line setting ticket, and even the extra rare warranty credit card holder. The truck has lived a relatively pampered life, with 61,400 original miles it shows. The truck was ordered for a purpose and used for that purpose, hence the low miles. This truck was purchased from the grandson of the original owner. The truck received new carpet and the seat was recovered with original material from SMS Auto Fabrics. Since the truck lived its whole life in eastern Oregon it’s a rust free auto with the exception of a small spot at the lower left of the windshield from a lead seem…. that’s it! The old hauler even sports the original paint, minus the tailgate, which needs repainted. The original owner misplaced the tailgate it came with since he had a camper on it… on the plus side the bed is in great shape and not beat up like most.Mechanically the truck is as close to perfect as one could hope for. If there was a road to China you could drive it there! This truck drives like new, it stops and steers great, the engine doesn’t leak a drop and the transmission shifts wonderfully. If you’ve always wanted the nicest 200 4X4, you know, not thrashed or painted a dozen times to cover up rust of all the replacement fenders, this is your chance! This truck comes with a perfect dash pad, its not installed and its not a match to the interior… but it can be spray dyed to match.
