Car description |

For all you International Scout lovers, here is a rare model. This is a Scout Camper. They were primarily made in 1963, but this title says 1964. Supposedly only around 100 were made and about 10 still known to exsist (according to the internet). I rescued this out of a field in Colorado after the owner passed away. It was used up until they no longer could, then it was parked for the past 25+ years. The vehicle is complete and all original. The only things missing are the 6 inch diameter heater hoses, some snaps on the canvas top, and a couple of knobs on the stove. The body does have some dings and dents, and the fiberglass camper section has some hefty cracks. The canvas is dirty and frayed with a few small rips. Pretty much everything needs to be gone through, but at least it's all there.
The motor turns over easily and would probably run if I rebuilt the carburator and cleaned out the fuel tank and lines. The odometer says 23,000+ miles, but it has probably turned over. I put a new battery in it, had the seats reupholstered, and put new tires on it so I could roll it around. Both the brakes and clutch need to be bled. Why haven't I done more? If you look at the last picture you will see my other project. I only have time and money for one, so the Scout has to go. I am not trying to get rich off this. I just want to cover my costs and get this Scout to a good home, so my reserve is low.
Any questions or requests, please contact me .
