This is a fun and largely forgotten classic. It was the predecessor to the Bronco and Blazer. A simple & easily maintained vehicle that could get you to work during the week and up into the mountains for the weekend.

The body presents well with a recent repaint in Sand Dune White. The door handles, emblems and grill show nicely with a good finish. This is not a high end restoration, but a nice stock appearing driver.

Under the hood the 152 Cubic Inch 4 Cylinder is factory rated at 93bhp & 137lb/ft of torque appears as stock. For their day they produced very respectable power. This one has a rebuilt carburetor and a fresh tune up. We have no rebuild history on this one but it runs like a stocker.

Inside the interior is in excellent condition. The bench seat has a nicely restored bench seat that is very comfortable and looks great. The instruments appear clear and in function nicely. The numerous switches & cable pulls for ventilation all appear clean & functional. The rare radio is still in place but does not function. There are several companies to restore the radios, so the biggest hurdle has been cleared just having the radio. The floors are clean & have been bedlined. They look to be in good condition and cleaning them is a snap.

This Scout has both saddle tanks. The passenger tank was just replaced along with a new switching valve. The fuel gauge even works, which is something to brag about on a Scout.

The emergency brake system was just rebuilt and functions nicely. This is the fun, classic predecessor to the SUV’s of today. With a significant amount of recent work it is a fun & inexpensive classic that you can get in & enjoy today without breaking the bank.
