1965 International Scout 80

Up for auction is this nice looking 65 IH Scout 80. The 152ci 4-Cylinder runs and drives very well and the 3-speed manual transmission shifts just as a 1965 Scout should. The odometer is showing 10,798 miles and this is NOT believed to be original to the vehicle but to the rebuilt engine. The original motor was completely rebuilt before the current owner bought the vehicle. Along with the engine rebuild it also has a new fuel tank and lines, new water pump, lternator, uel pump, lugs and wires. The carburetor was rebuilt and a fuel pump regulator was added. The transmission, ransfer case and differential has also been rebuilt. And in 2010 the brakes have been completely redone. Also new to the IH is a completely new clutch and muffler.

The Vodoo Blue paint would be rated as a 6 per the owner on a scale of 1 to 10, 0 being the best. We tried to add some pictures of some spots so you can see that this is a good 5 footer. The closer you get you will notice some blemishes in the paint. There are several scratches and dings in the finish. Both doors have paint chips and where the hard top sits also has scratches. This was repainted before the current owner bought the IH and he does have some touch up paint that will go with the vehicle.

The interior has also been redone at some point but we are not sure when. The front seats are leather and the back has been reupholstered in a blue and black vinyl. The carpet is gray and will need to be replaces at some point. All the gauges are the original type and only the gas gauge does not work. Included with the sale is a sound system that the owner has but has not installed yet. He also has the original wind shield wipers that are not installed. They have not been used and need a vacuum pump.

This is a fun truck to drive with the top off in the summer! It gets up to 55MPH smoothly! The windshield folds forward and the doors come off. The IH has a very nice white top but the owner has never used it and only drives it in the summer. The owner has never driven this Scout in the winter because it has no heater in it. All the lights and signals work. Every time the owner takes this out he always gets tons of compliments!
