Hello!! I am relisting this as the initial person who bid ended up not purchasing it. They were planning on driving it however I do not recommend it as the brake light is on. The carb was also leaking fuel, ut a new accelerator pump gasket cured that. Please read further for details on the vehicle:This auction is for my completely awesome 1969 International Harvester 1200D truck. I do not really want to sell this one, ut I am moving soon to a home with less room and need to clear up some space. I am the second owner of this truck, he first was a construction company in northern Iowa. It sat for quite a few years, ut after a small amount of tinkering I drove it to my home in Stuart, bout a 40 mile trip with no problems at all. If it sits for a long while it needs some starting fluid to get started and is very cold blooded, ut once warmed up it runs out nicely. Since my last listing I have discovered that this has a manual choke. I had no idea and when using the choke the truck is MUCH easier to start. It is an old work truck though, o do not expect Cadillac refinement! These Internationals are very strongly built, nd my intention was to put a flatbed on this one and clean up the body a bit. As the pictures show, he body on this one is not all rusted to pieces, ut does need some work. The floorpans are solid (I see a little rust where your feet go, ut looking underneath the truck everything looks good. I will try to add pictures in the next day or so) The Service Box on it is a bit beat, was going to scrap it, ut it could be used/brought back if you prefer that look. The glass is all good, here are a couple of chips on the windshield though. The metal around the windshield all appears to be rust free and solid. The truck is a V8 (pretty sure it is a 345, ut might be a 392) and has an automatic transmission. The transmission shifts fine, nd the rear end does not make any bad noises when going down the road. The brakes will need work, ometimes when I start it I get a 'brake failure' light, ut the brakes do work. The rear reservoir on the master cylinder was low, filled it but the light is still on. It could also be a vacuum issue, ut have not looked into it too far as I have had the vehicle in storage. The dash pad is good, ut not perfect and the truck does still retain it's original International Harvester fire extinguisher, hich is often missing. (prob worth a bit by itself!) It also has it's 1969 vintage Dietz 240-1 rotating amber beacon in the bed along with a fuel cell that I believe is a 40 gallon one. This is being sold as-is as a project. It runs nicely now and I have been driving it around the neighborhood a bit, ut due to the brake issue and the fact that the tres are very old I would strongly recommend trailering it! If you have any other questions please let me know. Thanks!!
