Car description

Thanks for looking! This NO RESERVE auction is for a rare and possibly collectible first gen (VVT, fast steering) 1991 Infiniti Q45 sedan with the VH45DE 4.5 liter V8 engine. This is the base model without the active suspension or four wheel steering. Ive had this car for a year or so now. I have done a bunch of stuff to it such as phase II injectors, battery, resonators removed, new spark plugs, 1993 transmission controller for first gear starts, and a set of G37x 18 inch Enkei wheels. They do fit fine and look awesome but it needs a set of 40 series tires and not the 50 series currently on it (they came with the wheels and the tread was still useable). The car passed Virginia inspection last year after fixing the exhaust and some other basic stuff. It is fun to drive, probably the best handling car I have ever driven. I drive it frequently locally in town and sometimes further. It starts on the first try and has good power. It does have some issues though, which I really can't afford to fix right now, as follows:1. The struts are bad, rear are really bad. It needs a set of coilovers because as far I can tell nobody makes stock shocks for this thing anymore.2. The transmission does not go beyond second gear (had an estimate of $1300 for a used transmission - tried to get several local shops to just try and fix it but none will). Second gear will take you to about 60-65 mph at about 4000 rpm, good enough for the local highways but IMO not good enough for long distance interstate driving.3. The drivers power seat ( fairly torn up) does not work but I was able to get it all the way back before it completely quit (If you are over 5'10" or so this should be fine! - was told it needed a seat controller to work again)4. There is no stereo.5. The A/C doesnt work right.6. It has some prior damage possibly a deer hit resulting in the drivers side front fender being painted.
The power windows, power tilt wheel, sunroof, power locks all work. The body is very clean for a nearly 30 year old car, with only some minor rust behind the drivers side rear door, some parking lot dings, and faded trim.Comes with the original computers, and most of a full gasket set from when I pulled the intake to do the injectors and hoses to the rails. I do know the passenger side cat is hollow, probably from a bad injector which is why i ended up doing the injector swap. Car comes with the original complete service manual.Located in Radford, VA zip code 24141.I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere if I had to and could keep it under 60 or so. Ive had it out in its current state on some 100 mile round trips with no problems. If you want to pick it up and drive it home it wont be a problem. I can deliver it also within say VA/WV/TN/NC/MD/PA/KY.
