1987 hmmwv6.5 turbo dieselslant backOhio street titleApprox 39,000 miles
This truck was originally a two door camp pickup. Since then it has been transformed to 4 door soft top and now a 4 door slant back. There is one issue with the title. I bought the truck from a guy in Illinois with a street title and had the truck shipped to me. Unfortunately the Illinois title stated more miles than what was on the truck. Other than that the title is still clear and transferable. Just wanted to be up front. So after I got the truck, I stripped it down to bare bones. Since the paint was CARC I lightly sanded and scuffed the finish and gave it a paint job to the color it is now using PPG single stage paint. The paint job isn't perfect but it is a lot better than when I got the truck. Some of the CARC on the doors is starting to crack though. The 36" tires that came with the truck were swapped out with newer oem 37" MT's and two piece steel wheels, rear airlift bumper, Warn 9000 lb winch, 2" suspension lift, removed the old seats and replaced with the military high back seats. The 6.2 diesel motor was starting to have issues so it and the three speed transmission and transfer case was replaced by a 2011 GEP 6.5 turbo diesel with a for speed transmission (4L80E) and a 242 transfer case. Also on the motor has a dual voltage generator which produces both 24&12 volts. When I got the truck running, I took it for a ride and found the transmission did not shift so I sent it out to have it looked at. Turns out the tcm was bad so an aftermarket tcm was put in. The truck runs as it should now. The military instrument panel was replaced with a 92-94 hummer h1 instrument panel. I had originally installed a four door soft top and soft doors but swapped out the soft doors for the X doors. This year I swapped out the soft top with a hard top slant back. I do not have a turret so I had a plate made for the opening. I have done most all of the work except for the tcm issue and some help putting on the hard top. I have put a lot of my time into this truck so I'm not going to give it away with low ball offers.Truck still needs rear hatch shocks. Truck is being sold as it, no warranty.Feel free to ask questions, I can be reached at440-376-2839. Text works best since I don't answer the phone due to robo callers but you can leave a message. I would really like to get this truck out of my driveway. It is taking up space and I don't use it much. Thanks for looking
