The vehicle was originally purchased at Pelle Toyota of Asheville by an elderly Real Estate Agent. Upon his passing the vehicle went into an estate that was not settled for many years. I’m the second owner. The vehicle had 19K+ miles on it when purchased. After the restoration. it was rarely driven. the odometer stuck at @ 24K miles. The cable was good because the “tenths” still worked. Speedo was taken out and an attempt was unsuccessfully made to free the remaining numerals. The mileage may not be actual. but I’d attest to the fact it has less than 30K miles on vehicle. The restoration is @ 7 years old. Resto. went to the frame. not a frame off. Vehicle has a clear title. Rear portion of frame was expertly repaired to eliminate weak spots over the differential. it’s perfectly square. Engine. and drive train. steering box linkage are all original. Motor not opened. radiator original. transfer case. differentials original. New braided oil lines. filters. etc. Clutch. pressure plate and throw out bearing were replaced. All belts and hoses were replaced. Heater core was rebuilt in front heater. rear heater works. OEM seat belts installed on rear jump seats. All wheel cylinders were replaced with new OEM. All brake lines were replaced. Brakes were adjusted at Barkley Toyota in Asheville and have had no need to touch since. Master cylinder. brake pads were replaced. drums were turned. All windows are original. note fogging of windshield. factory antifreeze inspection still on passenger vent window. All window gaskets were replaced. except the vent windows. All rubber door gaskets were replaced with after market. (SOR) New head liner. Interior all original. note hole in driver’s seat back where vehicle sat and sun came through barn. Full factory tool set. including unused Toyota grease gun. jack and jack crank handles. Owner’s manuals. not original. but included. Dupont “Spring Green” and white paint were used. $1k for paint only. Fiberglass top was removed. metal frame was replaced. Dupont sealer was used to seal fiberglass cap to new metal top frame. New stainless bolts used for reattachment. Rhino type liner was applied to all underneath areas while vehicle was disassembled. Liner was also applied to inside of floor boards and bed section at same time. New aluminized exhaust system to factory specs. installed. Manifold was removed. resurfaced. new gaskets installed. reinstalled. Factory Original 15” wheels (5) were removed powder coated. tires mounted and reinstalled. All lights were replaced with OEM. tail lights. side marker lights and trim. headlights. new trim for turn signal. turn signal lights in bib. New fuel tank and sending unit installed. Drives great. runs great. no smoke at start up. cold natured. I have most of the OEM parts that were replaced and would provide if wanted. headlights. wheel cylinders. etc. I’m sure there are things done/replaced that are not on the list. I do have a few “extra” small parts that can/will be thrown in if desired. I do have receipts for majority of what was purchased. 1971 Toyota Landcruiser IF you have any additional questions please feel free to text or call 865-386-6028
