FOR SALE CLASSIC 1989 HONDA PRELUDE 4WS - only 38559 miles..
great looking and great running 30 year old car... they don't make them like this anymore..it was repainted by the previous owner and the champagne colored paint is holding up nicely with no issues and really looks great... all black body moldings are in excellent shape.. no fluid or water leaks anywhere on this car.. i bought this car 4 years ago with 31550 miles and have only put about 7000 on myself..
i have replaced the timing and serpentine belts, water pump, air conditioning compressor, valve cover gasket, starter, front axles, and just replaced the brake pads, rotors and calipers and had an oil change about 1000 miles ago and had a new battery put in... the car has privacy tints on the side windows and a starter kill switch that is linked to the new keyless entry pads used to gain access to the car.. i also installed a new alpine cd/am/fm radio and 4 new alpine speakers in the car.. the power antenna works when the radio is being played and retracts smoothly... the original wheels were in bad shape and missing the center caps on 3 of them so i decided to tastefully upgrade them with a new set of tires..
as great as the car is, the car is not perfect and shows some weathering for a 30 yr old car and there are a few things to take care of but they are minor and don't affect the way the car runs.. aside from minor cosmetic issues, everything on the car works as it is supposed to.
- there is 1 inch bit of rust under the rear wheel well towards the under side of the car on the drivers side.- 1 of the bulbs on the dashboard climate control panel is out and you can't just replace the bulb.
- there is a 1 inch tear on the right front passenger seat..- the belt moldings are a little worn and have a few chips.- the sunroof rubber gasket has a 2" gouge in the rubber gasket.
the car is a blast to drive and it turns so sharply with the 4WS system that parking is a breeze... this car is kind of my summer weekend car and it gets a ton of attention whenever i take it out and you will too.. i am in no rush to sell but i am serious about selling and will answer all questions that i can and entertain reasonable offers on this RARE and LOW MILEAGE car..
due to my job i cannot answer questions when at work but will get back to you within 12 hours for sure.. i work nights 230pm- midnight m-f...thanks.
by the way, the state of Connecticut DOES NOT issue titles on cars over 20 years old.. this car has clean title but i will not be able to provide you with a title because it was 26 years old when i got it and CT never issued 1 for me but it did have a CLEAN title from NJ... you will most likely need my current registration to prove good title and register the car in your state..i will also have an official CT bill of sale for you.. you may want to find out what paperwork you will need for your state before making an offer.
