Car description |

I'm the 2nd owner of this rare 1991 Honda Accord SE. It was purchased new in Virginia by my parents. I have the original paperwork/manual including the window sticker displaying an MSRP of $20,070.
The 1991 Accord SE (series CB7) was the only Accord of that year manufactured and assembled in Japan and boasts 10 more horsepower than the Acoord EX and 15 more horsepower than the Accord LX and DX models, all of whom were assembled in the U.S. that same year.
I have maintained the car consistently with regular oil changes, repairs as soon as needed and frequent touch-less car washes. The car has been garaged since new and this shows in the clear coat being in great shape.
Yes, this car is in Minnesota but looks great and has survived rust far better than most '91 Accords in California! At the time of purchase the frame was professionally undercoated which successfully protected the undercarriage from rust as can be seen in the photos. The body panels are straight but close inspection will reveal paint chips, swirls, several door dings, but no dents. See 2 photos above for evidence of the only rust spots to be found on the upper body, both easy fixes. The right front fender was replacedand painted by my insurance after it was tapped by another vehicle backing up and damage was limited to slight distortion in the sheet metal (repair bill included).
Extras I'm including with this sale are 4 attractive Honda OEM alloy wheels from a 1996 Accord which I'd guess are worth $200.
All gauges and lights work as do features such as the smooth operating sunroof, power locks and CD/Stereo.
The engine runs smoothly as does the transmission. I also replaced the all important timing belt during a major service at around 141,000 miles and installed a new battery this month. Mechanical challenges are limited to the air conditioning which needs work but works intermittently and 1 of the 2 engine cooling fans is a bit loose. A new fan costs around $50. The idle upon starting for the first time in the morning has the typical Honda Accord uneven revving, but that immediately smooths out once you start driving. I've seen fixes for this on YouTube but never bothered to pursue it.
I'm currently running terrific Dunlop summer performance tires on the car which has improved handling and think the buyer will be as pleased as I've been with them. They have only been used 2 "summer" seasons and have plenty of tread left.
The original ivory leather seats need to be replaced due to cracking and splitting. They still have good padding and I have covered the front and rear seats with attractive seat covers. I've seen custom seat covers for this car priced starting around $400.
I installed a replacement radio antenna at the back left trunk location but is is not connected to the stereo. However, the stereo still works just fine without it.
This is an old car so 2 minor plastic pieces have cracked: 1 crack around stereo console trim, and the drivers door handle trim is cracked. I'm glued them back together but you can easily find replacement trim options. The right rear interior grab handle has fallen out of the headliner but I will provide it to the buyer.
There is so much to like about this car and it would be great if a buyer would tick off the few remaining repairs. The 1991 Accord, especially the SE, represents a perfect balance of driver involvement and a modest level of modern technology.
This vehicle is being advertised locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time if a buyer is found here before the end of the Ebay acution.
