Car description |

For sale is my 1990 Honda Civic EX 4 Door Sedan, FWD, 4-speed automatic with rear-end damage. It has 92,971 original engine miles. Head resurface and new head gasket, timing and drive belts, fuel filter, master cylinder, axles, and more done at 89,600 miles (see details below). It runs and drives great and gets 26-28mpg! Transmission is in excellent shape and shifts well. Car has power lock door and power windows as well as a nice aftermarket radio and is wired to install additional front and rear sub woofers! The interior is in excellent shape. The seats and floor mats have a few stains and there is one nick in the dash but is in overall excellent shape. The DEQ tags are good until June 2018. I changed the oil, tranny fluid, and power steering fluid and kept it well maintained. It was an excellent and reliable daily driver until an unfortunate accident occurred...
I was the middle car in a three-car, rear end, hit-and-run collision which did damage to the left rear of the car. It has damage to the left quarter panel and lens housing assembly, bumper, and trunk. The impact with the car in front of me did minor damage to the front bumper and left headlight assembly.
The drive-train and front end suspension were unharmed. I drove it home from the accident. To the best of my knowledge the frame was not bent. The vehicle has not been inspected by an insurance adjuster and still has a clean title. I would like to keep and repair this car as it is my first vehicle and am sad to let it go, but think it best to let someone else have it who has the time to make it street legal again.
I acquired the vehicle as the second owner with 89,557 miles and a leaking head gasket. Details of repairs done at 89,600 were:
Head Resurfaced
New Victor-Reinz Tri-Layer Metal Head Gasket Installed
Exhaust Manifold Gasket Replaced
Pistons and Valves Cleaned
IAC (Idle Air Control Valve) Replaced
Fuel Filter Replaced
Master Brake Cylinder and Front Brakes Replaced and Brake Lines Bled (Was actually done at 89,800 miles)
Timing Belt Changed
Power Steering Serpentine Belt Changed
Transmission Serviced
Right Front Axle and Caliper Studs Replaced
Battery Replaced
New Tires Installed
Main Relay Replaced
Main Fuse Replaced
Spark Plugs Changed
Antifreeze, Power Steering, Transmission, and Engine Oil Changed
Then at 91,000 miles:
Muffler Replaced
Aftermarket Radio Installed (Features: AUX, USB, Micro SD, Radio) - Car is also wired for sub woofers!
Distributor Cap and Wires Replaced - Bought a rotor but was not installed. Rotor will come with purchase.
The only mechanical repairs which need to be done are: neutral safety switch replaced as occasionally the key will not come out of the ignition and you have to use a second key to engage shift lock release to get the key out of the ignition, the cruse control clicks off randomly and has a difficult time engaging, and the windshield wiper motor is weak and fading fast. Sale comes with 2 ignition keys.
I am asking $1900 OBO for this car. CASH ON PICKUP ONLY! - No PayPal, credit card, check, or money orders. I will also accept partial trades for any non-working power equipment such as lawn mowers - push or riding, string trimmers, edgers, etc. Sale is final - no returns. This listing is local pickup only. I am more than happy to arrange for test drives. I will give you the specific address when you're ready to come pick it up. It is located in Happy Valley (close to Portland). Feel free to contact me with any other questions.
