INTRO:
This 1991 silver Honda Accord has a 2.2-liter 4-cylinder that delivers 125 to 140 horsepower, thanks to a dual-stage intake manifold, making this car at one point the best-selling automobile in America. Two transmissions are also part of the powertrain package, making this car is extremely reliable and boasts a 5-speed, manual transmission (this is a GREAT car for new stick-shift drivers). I bought the car for $1,500 and invested about $6,300 restoring the car, so I could learn stick and commute to and from work. Old car, though I'm proud to say she drives beautifully and I've been using her without fail or repair needed for over a year now. About 11 months ago (~3 months after purchase), I took her to a mechanic and replaced the following:
- 2 axles
- 2 wheels
- Timing belt
- Flywheel
- Clutch
- Water pump
- Valve cover gasket
- Throw out bearing
Because of the effort and love put into this car to get her RESTORED, I'm proud to say she drives great and is incredibly reliable!
SAFETY RATING--FRONT IMPACT TEST:
- Driver Injury - 4/5
- Front Passenger Injury - 4/5
PROS:
- Antilock brakes
- TERRIFIC Fuel economy
- Handling
- Passenger room (up to 5 persons)
- Cargo room
CONCLUSION:
This Honda Accord is PERFECT for the new stick-shift driver and the daily commuter (my commute from Sunnyvale to Cupertino is ~25 minutes each way). Fully restored, EXTREMELY reliable and good-to-go now for you!
NOTE:
I am open to negotiation on price, but only if you come in person, and of course, any negotiating will depend on the amount of interest for this Accord!
