If you have ever heard the story "Only driven to church on Sundays by a little old lady" this is that car.
My mother bought this Civic new in 1986, t only has 45.665 original miles.
Completely stock and it's never been smoked in.
Always garage kept.
You seldom see Civics in this condition if ever.
She quit driving about 3 years ago and the car sat.
Things that were recently done:
Oil and filter changed.
New Distributor cap, otor, park plugs and wires.
Air filter and both fuel filters.
New Sony AM FM CD player and speakers.
Things that need to be done:
I just installed a new carburetor.
It starts right up and idles great but when you give it some gas it bogs down.
I suspect that there is a vacuum leak.
If you know an Old School Honda mechanic it could be an easy fix.
You could drive it around the block but it is not fit for a long trip with the vacuum leak.
It had the Rusty Jones rust-proofing treatment done when new but still developed some rust on the rear wheel wells, ee pics.
Thanks for looking, ete
