The headgasket had a minor issue years ago. so the original engine was completely gone thru with upgrades. This is a letter from the custom shop that built it. Typhoon 4. 3 V6 engine block was bored . 030" over stock. Crank was turned and balanced. JE forged pistons fitted. King racing bearings are oiled by a high volume Melling oil pump. KB roller camshaft with 205 degree springs and retainer keep valves seated. Cylinder heads had 2. 02" intake valves and bronze valve guides installed. Heads and intake were also ported and flowed by Stetson Automotive. A larger turbo with 650 cfm flow replaces the stock 550 cfm flow turbo. Throttle body air foil installed. also increases air flow. Stock air cleaner is replaced with cool air fender kit. Under drive pulley set reduces pulley speed by 25%. Fuel pressure is increased using external high pressure electric pump. Fuel pressure is controlled by adjustable pressure regulator. KB Street Master chip controls larger 40lb fuel injectors. Intercooler pump can now be set to run full time using a switch on the dash. Transmission govenor was replaced to make full throttle shifts at 5000 rpm instead of 3800 rpm. Torque converter lock up can now be controlled by a switch on the dash. Distributor module was upgraded to an Accel race module. Stock plug wires replaced with red double jacket turbo wires. Exhaust changes are from catalytic converter back using Borla stainless muffler in to dual stainless 2 1/4" tailpipes. Handling was improved by adding a rear 3/4 sway bar. -- What it means is this thing is quick. and its still all numbers matching. Only 64k on the rebuilt drivetrain its very durable. very reliable. starts perfectly everytime even when cold. A stock Typhoon does the quarter mile at 14. 1 seconds at 94 mph. THIS Typhoon did the quarter in 13. 1 at 104 mph. This is a one owner vehicle since new. Nobody has ever sat in the back seat. nor has it ever been folded down. A clean and clear Carfax is included.
