Car description

For sale is a 1964 GMC Fenderside 1/2 ton pickup truck. Original Texas truck. This truck has been fully restored to a high standard and would make an excellent addition to a collection or would be a perfect daily driver or show truck. The engine is a very strong GMC V6 which was run almost exclusively on propane until the truck was restored in 2013. This truck starts the first time every time and is very dependable. There is no reason this truck could not be driven across the country right now. All gauges work. All lights work. The horn works. The water temp never rises above half way on the temp gauge. The images posted of this truck were taken on April 12. 2015. The following is a partial list of the parts/repairs made to this truck within the last 750 odometer miles:New tutone paint. completely rebuilt and recovered front seat in authentic material. new tires. new shocks. new tail lights. most wiring new and correct . new oak bed wood. new metal bed strips. new door weatherstrip (Honda type). new wiper blades. upgraded windshield washer kit and 2spd wiper motor from a '66 GMC. rebuilt heater with new blower motor and new heater core. repaired radiator. new brakes. new floor mat w/ jute pad. new door checks (Jeep type). replaced floor pans with donor '66 GMC pans. one new rocker panel. upgraded SM 420 4spd transmission. new high-hump trans tunnel added. rebuilt clutch and pressure plate. new throwout and pilot bearings. balanced flywheel. new u-joints. new correct interior paint. replated instrument cluster. NOS gear shift knob. NOS headlight switch. NOS arm rests. new glove box liner. new glove box light kit. rebuilt deluxe heater controls. new Holley carburetor. new water pump. new dual exhaust system. new rear main seal. recent engine oil. new fuel pump. new starter solenoid. new battery. new battery cables. nbsp;new fan belt. new hoses. new motor mounts. nbsp;recent trans oil. new temp sender. new oil sender. new spark plugs. new spark plug wires. new coil. new distributor cap. new points. new rotor. new coolant mixed with distilled water. remote spare tire filler hose. fenders undercoated. anti-squeak used throughout. new seat belts. NOS headlight knob. NOS gas cap. new interior day/night mirror. new exterior mirrors. new hood seal and hood bumpers. new master cylinder. new firewall pad. There are many more things that have been done to this truck. Low points: Front three inches of frame horns have been damaged and removed. The front bumper is currently held in place with a temporary (although very sturdy) setup. I will included two correct front frame horn sections for the next owner to repair. The truck has all of its original glass but the driver and passenger door glass was slightly damaged at the body shop when some previous mirror holes in the door were welded up. The truck has no jack. There are a few little items here and there that could use attention. but there is nothing that would prevent the next owner from starting up this truck and driving it across the country. There are no scratches. no dents. no leaks. The engine does not smoke at all. the transmission shifts smoothly. The engine ran on propane from 1966 until it was parked in the early 2000's. The engine was like brand new inside when we removed it from the donor truck. The oil was a golden color. All you need to do is the pull the choke out slightly and turn the key and it starts. The truck has been professionally tuned and will idle all day without the engine temp ever going up above half way on the gauge. Please feel free to ask any questions. Good luck!I have invested over $17. 00 in this truck. It has been a fun project. The next owner will really get his money's worth if my low reserve is met. A PayPal deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of auction end. The remainder can be paid when truck is picked up by new owner or before being loaded on transport. All payments must clear before I hand over the Texas title. The truck is sold as-is. where-is and winning bidder is responsible for pickup and delivery. I will consider any reasonable request for storage. shipping or delivery assistance.
